WilkesboroDude
Special Statement Statement as of 5:51 PM EDT on March 20, 2013 ... Winter weather possible later this evening and overnight... A strong cold front will sweep through the region this evening. Temperatures will plummet very quickly from the 40s... currently being observed across the northwest North Carolina mountains this afternoon... well down into the 20s... as quickly as just a few hours after the frontal passage. A band of showers will follow behind the front. This precipitation will initially fall as rain... but will very quickly change to snow as temperatures fall to near and below freezing. Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches will be possible... especially at the higher elevations. The change from good driving conditions to poor winterlike driving conditions will occur very quickly and could easily catch motorists off guard if caught out on area roads during this event. Conditions are being monitored closely and a Winter Weather Advisory may be required if conditions warrant. Rab
EmersonGA
I either had flurries this morning on the way to work at 5am or there are thousands of bradford pears on 75 throwing blossoms.
