Looks like North Dakota will have some record low temps. Winter isn't giving up without a fight.

THE MAIN CHALLENGE WILL BE TEMPS AND PRECIP CHANCES ON WED. MODELS
ARE IN GOOD OVERALL AGREEMENT WITH COOL WEATHER THROUGH WED...THEN
A WARMING TREND DEVELOPS.

FOR TONIGHT...THERE WILL BE SOME LINGERING LIGHT SNOW EARLY IN THE
FAR SOUTHEAST. OTHERWISE...EXPECT A VERY COLD NIGHT WITH NEAR
RECORD COLD IN MOST AREAS.

gotta love those afternoon temps at Denver on APR 23rd, Rockies have had four games postponed because of snow and their breaking record low temps that have stood for 139yrs

 

some historic cold in the upper midwest / lakes since March, Duluth just broke the all time record for snowiest month, over 50", in freakin APR - crazy stuff....

Heard on the Phillies broadcast last night that the game time temperature in Denver was 22 degrees.

Tough to grip the ball in those temps...

thats an october cut not end of april

 

 

Actually April's mean temp is colder than October. Average highs in October don't slip below 65F until the 20th IMBY, while in April, average highs don't hit 65F until around the 22nd. So climo wise, we're more likely to have frost/freezes deep into April than early oct.

Good point, I meant to reply about that but never did... October is usually warmer than April.  Or at least, more often than not.
