Wonderdog
I didn't do it, but it was probably because you're creating a thread about a specific threat NINE days from now. That'd be my guess. Possibly. And if that's the rule, so be it. But just remember who started the Hurricaine Sandy thread. I can deliver baby!

Ji
Bet on it champ. We're locked into the most prolific late March snowfalls ever. Remember a few years ago there was a huge plains winterstorm that we were tracking in march and there was a huge block and we were cold enough but the storm fizzled as it approached us. Some places in Nebraska got 2 feet of snow. We thought it was hitting us:(

Amped
I'm booking the Euro Deathband right overhead, lookout for 24"-36" and high temps in the single digits.
CAPE
I don't worry about sun angle until April. Sun angle is not even worth mentioning at this point. If its cold enough, and we get good rates(both a fail last storm) it wont be a big issue. Plus no matter how much snow may fall, a day later temps of 50+ will take care of it regardless of sun angle. CAPE
Not only that we go down as the laughing stock of the entire forum for 2 years running. Bottom of the barrel. Worst of the worst. Wizards bad man. It has been an incredibly anomalous period the last 2 winters(or 3, depending on exact location). How much snow officially fell at DC 3 winters ago? Being on the upper Delmarva, I caught the edge of several storms and managed to hit seasonal average that winter.
Heisy
You can't look at this and not feel just a LITTLE excited...this is a great pattern. Wave entering the CONUS and cold air straddled over the East with a potent block.

winterymix
It only snows in the Baltimore/Washington corridor anymore between December 20 and March 7. The way things are going, knock another week off each end about ten years from now. Twenty years from now, the snow season will be January/February. WinterWxLuvr
You guys with these sun angle posts are out of it. It matters even by mid Feb. it really matters now. That's why Wed 12 inches of snow went to 8 inches of snow in two hours with moderate snow falling. Having said that, this looks like a good chance. We have several regulars that you can tell are all in. Heck, Bob has even offered up his youngest.
