WeatherNC
93 hrs, vortmax on track to clip northern AL/MS.
beanskip
Hard to tell if it's really north or just lagging behind prior run. @102 it's a two contour closed low heading right over TN.
burgertime
@108 low is going right over the upstate precip is exploding across NC. This looks like it might be a killer run for central NC.
griteater
Precip explodes over NC between 105 and 108, but it's warm
rduwx
Blowing up at 108...Major precip over NC if we could get the 850's to crash now.
griteater
Hoss of a storm, but too far north and too warm...probably some changeover coming though
burgertime
@114 that low is maybe 40 miles southeast of CLT. Lots of snow in WNC.

WeatherNC
99hrs, cleared the MS and still positive, but it's turning and pretty close to neutral. Likely not going up the east coast, could be an epic run from the h5 look, worried about temps though.
beanskip
Ouch -- definitely back to the north.

NCsandhills
I'm only at 102 but man this thing is moving SLOW. can't strong low pressure systems create their own cold air or something or draw it in? especially since it is moving so slowly with all the blocking (that's in our favor btw, -NAO etc...), it seems like it should have plenty of time to draw in cold air...or does how slow it is have no bearing on that? burgertime
Ouch -- definitely back to the north. Skip, our saving grace is that it is stalling out as it moves east. You can see on the surface we are getting into snow. This is not a bad run at all IMHO.
Disc
Wow. ROA and points SW get crushed.
burgertime
That low is moving so slow most of WNC including CLT may be in 4-8 inches. Central NC just gets crushed.

griteater
Pretty much the exact evolution you want to see...slower, stronger...just a matter of the track as to who is in on the cold air
burgertime
If I had to guess HKY to GSO to RDU just get crushed this run. Probably 12 inches. CLT areas could be in the 4 - 6? Very hard to tell. A pro can chime in here and tell us possibly.
