wncsnow
I believe here in western NC we are in a good spot, although the GFS shows the moisture a little too far south for big accumulations this run, the tendency to creep it up further north will bring it back.. i hope

NC Snow
Looks like guys just south of Wilmington around the NC/SC border get approx 1.2" of qpf this run. Pretty impressive phasing, but haven't seen the soundings.
rduwx
Great trend on the 12z gfs w/ the phasing. Imo the moisture field woud be more expansive than what is being shown.

Agreed, it was a weak phase, had it been stronger it would have a better run for our area, IMO.

Brick Tamland
Brick gets clouds this run. Not going to happen. Won't be that far south.
Brick Tamland
Yeah it would of been but I'm fine w/ where we are being 6 days out. Not worried with that one run. The models have done this before, going further south for a couple of days only to come back north.
a5ehren
Waited a long time to hear this! At 850mb, it looks like a rain to snow event with widespread coverage of 2-4" (depending on ratio, changeover, etc) over all of Metro ATL. Waiting for the more detailed stuff to catch up to the quick plots, though.
MillerA
Brick gets clouds this run. So all the moisture is from Atlanta to Columbia to Wilmington on the gfs? And the euro had it north of I40 into Virginia. Meet in the middle, eventually?
rduwx
Not worried with that one run. The models have done this before, going further south for a couple of days only to come back north. The best scenerio would be for a stronger phase and to pull the low up the coast a litter further. Then everybody might get a piece of the pie.
