Snow has changed to plain rain by the lakeshore in downtown Toronto.

Plain rain at Queens Park area downtown area as well.

Maybe was 1/2 inch on ground between 10-11 pm now even less.

Those 45 dbz on radar must had been from ice pellets.

Wonder  if my call of 3 inch of slush couple of days ago will even verify.....

After 40 years of paying close attention to weather you get a 'gut feeling'

For Racine?

I saw the NAM had 0.5" here.

11.5" now through 11:15pm. That band on the border is so close.

Wow.  Still over 24 more hrs of snow on the way.  You may exceed 16".

Hoping the inch or so tomorrow will bump us over the 5" mark for the storm total.  Marginal temps during the daytime may impact accumulation though.  Today the higher rates offset the marginal temps.  Tomorrow's snow will be lighter than today's.

Gonna pat myself on the back as well.  My original pessimistic all of 1-3" for the QCA wasn't really that horrible  compared to the 3-4" that fell at DVN/MLI respectively.  I did up the call to 3-5" after last night's abrupt change towards a wetter solution.  Conservatism always works the best when forecasting snowfall totals in genreal IMO.  Seems to be especially true when forecasting for the QC lol.

NAM with a nice superadibatic layer near the surface here tomorrow...it may be a tad too bullish on warming though unless we somehow get some breaks in the clouds. Wraparound seems to have gotten less impressive for here on the 00z runs.

Euro, a couple of runs ago, was pushing 40 for us tomorrow. Might not be unreasonable. At least we can give up the snow dream, as it looks like not much is gonna happen here. Light snow, mixed with rain, amounting to nothing. Final. Over and out.

I'm going to be tired of shoveling snow tomorrow! 12" now or a hair over.

I see it is snowing back into Iowa a ways yet.

Looks like the band is starting to shift south now.

It did. Big flakes again.

Just measured 4-5". Fun to watch the mesoscale vortex come in off Lake Michigan, the local weather is being controlled by the 'spiral' bands of the thing. Looks like some really good steady snows on the east side of the vortex, everyone in southern Wisconsin should cash in on that. Band on the southwest side of the vortex has been pummeling Madison.

Nice interesting info! Still snowing out of course! Lol

Probably close to 13" now.

Edit: 12.8" to be exact.

lol nice job man

Wow that's very impressive... 18.9" is nearly my season total here but at least someone's getting stuff this year unlike last year

:o Sometimes the difference between SE MI and NW OH is insane. After getting 2" of concrete tonight I am now at 18.9" on the month myself, and 41.0" on the season.
