superjames1992
By the way 18z showed a huge hit for DC better fuel up the planes for recon flights. Looked as big as Snowmaggedon for DCA proper. I might be heading for the cliff if that verified.
Disc
I can only imagine the amount of cliff jumping in the Mid-Atlantic forum if this thing trended back south and put them back in the 3-6" zone after being shown 12"+

WilkesboroDude
Guys its 5 days out...pretty sure there will be south jumps/trends/ but it really matters Sunday night and beyond IMO...and usually things trend north (beginning to sound like a broken record). Cold Rain
Yes it would make sense that stronger blocking. would force the storm more southward. I don't get what people as model hugging. Everyone looks at each run and wants to know what outcome it shows annd some get excited if it shows what they want and sad when another run doesn't. Is that would model hugging would be defined as? Because. It's. Fun. Now, shhhh.
Cold Rain
what if we moved to the north pole. Would we still have to worry about storms trending north? Well, magnetic north is shifting toward Russia, so probably.

tnweathernut
Looking at the 18z snow map is like looking at hurricane Sandy's snowmap.......... Would be ironic to start AND end the winter season with such a crushing storm for the same general area.

packbacker
If this storm misses it's going to be as painful as Dec 2009. Eyewall, Widre and myself are going to be unbearable next year until we get a 6" event, if it ever snows again.
