BeastFromTheEast
We went from mixed clouds to whiteout at 1245 and haven't let up since. That RPM Skilling showed with 9in for Kenosha doesent seem far-fetched at this rate.Good to hear from down there.
Geos
So Im seeing MKX call of rain/mixed to start went poorly. We went from mixed clouds to whiteout at 1245 and haven't let up since. That RPM Skilling showed with 9in for Kenosha doesent seem far-fetched at this rate. Haha, yeah. Our grid forecasts are low! Almost 3" now. Chitown Storm
the dry lot has filled in. If the returns down by Springfield and northward hold together when this thing pivots, Chitown is in the money for an extended period.

Boogieman
Well, the rain god is in control again ATM... 35f and sleet is almost gone. There are some pretty heavy returns coming up from the south. Overhead Tug of war between the freeze line continues the saga.
BowMeHunter
back to rain/snow mix with sidewalks melted out Haha, yeah. Our grid forecasts are low! Almost 3" now. I don't know how you haven't lost it yet... I'd hate to seen my attitude if i was in your unlucky position this whole winter. I hope mother nature pays you back with an exciting spring and summer... Still time for a winter storm to produce I guess also

Hoosier
IND goes bullish, calling for up to 4" here by tomorrow evening. I'm kinda skeptical given the marginal thermal profiles and uncertainty about rates but makes me feel good about getting some accumulation. We shall see. Should be coming down nicely at ur place too Bow! yeah getting nastier by the few mins.. coating of snow or slush on cement now in the last 10 mins. wind gusting at times to 30 maybe... loving the snow is wet so it cant blow it away for now in my wind tunnel yard with winds of the lake. Natester
One thing that i'm glad is that the winds are nowhere near as strong as they were on December 20, 2012. Still, there probably will be some power outages from this due to falling tree branches.

Hoosier
lol, you might do better than I do I'm not expecting to see anything close to 4" on the ground. I think getting more than an inch or two on the ground at any given time is going to be tough. If it were earlier in the season or all overnight I'd be more optimistic. Hoosier
IND EXPECT SNOW SHOWERS TO CONTINUE...PERHAPS BRIEFLY HEAVY WEDNESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY EVENING...AS FORECAST SOUNDINGS DISPLAY A DECENT AMOUNT OF SHALLOW CONVECTIVE INSTABILITY FROM MIDDAY TOMORROW THROUGH TOMORROW EVENING. OVERALL AVERAGE OF 1 TO 2 INCHES LOOKS GOOD TOMORROW INTO TOMORROW NIGHT...WITH AN ISOLATED 3 INCH AMOUNT NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION. BETWEEN TOMORROWS EVENT AND LINGERING SNOW SHOWERS THROUGH FRIDAY...A STORM TOTAL OF 2-3 WITH PERHAPS AN ISOLATED 4 INCH TOTAL IN THE FAR NORTH LOOKS LIKE A GOOD BET. HOWEVER...AMOUNTS MAY APPEAR LESS AS TEMPS WILL HOVER NEAR THE FREEZING MARK MUCH OF THE TIME AND SETTLING/MELTING MAY OCCUR FAIRLY STEADILY AT TIMES. stormtrackertf
Legit pouring rain here right now and 33°F. If it were a degree or two colder, this would be something special, like 3-4"/hr rates. So depressing.
Geos
Things are going down hill here further. Haven't been able to see beyond a half a block in the last 30 minutes. Closing in on 4". 31.2°. Classes cancelled at UWParkside. About time for a warning I would say.

WestCoaster
Back home. Thermometer still reading 1.6C As of 4 PM, 2.9 at YYZ, 2.7 on the Island, and 2.8 on my thermometer. Pretty uniform spread. You may do pretty well OB; with evaporative cooling at precip onset you'll be in good shape I reckon.
