I'm concerned about how much precip I can get back towards my way. SREFs and GFS look OK, but the EC and especially the NAM are more paltry. I thought my thermometer was wrong all night, but at some point a few hours ago the temp started dropping from 32.7F to the current 30.6F. I can feel a decent breeze out of the NE so my anemometer apparently is frozen up too.

2.2" of snow so far with 0.24" liquid.

Now that the surface low is getting going, we've got winds coming around to more favorable directions, especially along the coast. PWM went from 100 degrees wind direction and 36 to 30 degrees and 32 in the last several hours.

Box has changed it's snow map 4 times in the last 48 hours and we are still on track to not verify their latest estimate.

LOL--sometimes they just don't.

I haven't like this since it first appeared on the maps. Glad I stayed in poo poo mode.

After refusing to do so, I succumbed to it for 12 hours Wed/Thursday.  Quickly got off that train and kicked myself for ever getting on.  Refusing to do so now For Tuesday.  Whatever couple inches come will get washed away shortly after.  Won't.........get.........sucked.......in.

Nice.  Did the jetport go to snow?

You took over my seat mode

LOL.  How are things looking up there?  I see Attitash is reporting 6 and Wildcat 4 overnight--figure you must be in similar amounts?  Everyone had thier machines out here yesterday.  Just add a little frosting to the pack and it's a great excuse to get out there I guess!

I was running about 1-2F above the MADIS expectation which is rare. Stations around me were around 31-32F and I was up to 33F. Even the Winni River station (close to hear and a couple hundred feet lower) was a few tenths cooler. Maybe it was just some weird microscale thing. The only possible error I could think of would be the shield getting caked up and the fan exhaust not being able to escape.

Anyways...like the blizz, I'd rather be in the Wakefield/Milton area for this wrt NH. Any idea what the avg over there near the ME border?

Eyeballing right now it looks like 2" -SN pretty much thru out the night

If I get 4 or more inches than although I did not directly forecast for this..it's a bust in my mind. Im only thinking an inch or two...maaaayyyybe 3 if things work out.

In reality we're super lucky up here with how this all evolved. Our forecast snow totals have changed by only a couple inches here or there in the last 3 days, but how we arrived at those totals is wildly different. Right for the wrong reasons.

You should pick up some decent stuff today--congrats.

Some snizzle here, but lighter snizzle than yesterday (how pathetic a descriptiotn is that???!!!!).  But, the radar's filling in to my south, so hpefully can get some real flakes to fly in the next half hour or so.  Forecasted total is for 2-4.  I'll take the under.

Oh yeah it's extremely tricky...not sure why Nzucker called you guys out, but looks like you fellas have a good handle on it. I'm just speaking for this area locally. The boundary layer just looked like toast here. If we somehow rip late today or this evening than we can achieve the higher totals. I'm just not sure on that, although I do believe some surprises are in the works down here. It's ok though...not everything will be snow.

A little sparse as far as Coops go in that area, but we go from 55" or so in Durham, NH to 70-75" in the Hollis/Limington, ME area to 80" near Bridgton. I would guess they're probably in the 70-75" range as well.

Nice. They seem to be in a pretty good location for many types of events...SWFE CAD situations, inv troughs, late bloomers, etc.
