Early March threats - Mar 1st-8th Period

I actually think there's a reasonable likelihood this storm brings some meaningful precipitation into SE areas as this will be a massive storm diameter-wise. Once the storm occludes and becomes vertically stacked, the precipitation shield will expand to the point where SE New England could be impacted by some of the outer bands, even if the low is well offshore. While I wouldn't expect a major event, it is something to keep an eye on. Precipitation type could also be an issue due to the east winds.

In addition, the easterly flow north of the storm could advect enough moisture inland that there could be some easterly upslope along the east side of the Berkshires. Again, this likely wouldn't be significant, but it could mean some accumulating snow for these spots.

I keep reading that it can not come North much more but it seems logical to me the massive circulation precip shield would be farther up the coast then modeled as you state. Even a 75 mile North shift on the GFS would put a chunk of SNE in the comma head per 7 H maps

I'm not expecting anything colossal or a big deal by any means, but if it gets far north enough some light precip could be doable. Of course it could very well be rain where I am lol.

I think the folks below you would have an outside shot, But running into that block will be tough for this one to gain lat

Yeah even on the "best" runs for up here so far the blocking smacks the storm down like Dikembe. I've already got a blizzard this season so I won't be driven insane by a miss from this like the M.A folks would.

1.5 inches of snow here since 7pm...currently 1/2 mile mdt.

Nothing as "exciting" as that here in Brattleboro - dusting this morning. We've had the one big storm when we got close to 20 inches, and another smaller one earlier in the year. Other than that, this winter gets a big thumbs down!
