weathafella
Gfs is a decent but not historic event for DC southward verbatim.
weathafella
What's almost more interesting to me is the extreme cold now showing up in western Canada d4-5 and possibly threatening us a week later.

Yeah that might be when the coast gets its last threat.

dryslot
Yeah this is just hopeless in Maine ..and damn near hopeless here probably. If the 12Z Euro holds it's probably a done deal because you are inside 4 days then. Those were my thoughts all along but some were trying to convince me otherwise, I already saw what this type of block can do back in 2010, No need to wishcast

Clinch Leatherwood
Funny forum. Talked about this for days in fantasy range. As we approach the medium range the gfs went from missing parts of SNE by 750 miles at 0z to missing by 10 miles at 12z Nothing to see there
Logan11
Sort of hard to believe that it will be bullied straight east by the confluence, but hey that's what they all show. And I think back to how many times this winter all I needed was a little better confluence to drive one of these lakes cutters to reform on the coast. Even a few days ago it was too little for a good coastal redevelopment. Confluence still killing this.

Logan11
I see it gets the .25 line to ACK now, but the ground truth is that the low heads pretty much straight out to sea from Norfolk, Virginia. SouthCoastMA
The GGEM gets the storm at a higher latitude than the 0z run. A scraper from the maps I'm looking at

Ginx snewx
GGEM shows how far N precip can get with a low in NC and tremendous inflow, pretty wet not white but possibly a paste job
weathafella
The GGEM gets the storm at a higher latitude than the 0z run. A scraper from the maps I'm looking at It actually is not a scraper. It gets most of us with >.5 qpf.

I think he'd cringe if he saw either the inside or outside of my cars. Or maybe vomit. Or maby he'd just be compelled to clean them It actually is not a scraper. It gets most of us with >.5 qpf. Logan11
Bastardi is saying he expects a low to come out of the Gulf and run up (not sure east or west of the Apps) around the 10th. If this one whiffs OTS and the next cuts inland, I may officially have a nervous breakdown........if people have them anymore. LOL
Clinch Leatherwood
It's the trend that matters. GGEM/GFS north, Euro will probably come north too but in reality who cares, still 4+ days away and a lot is going to change. I do like that we saw the models attempt to bend it once it was out over the water this run.
