Euro implies an awesome thumping for Will. 2/24/10 all over again.

 

 

NAM inists no...though it did cool some from 18z...the NAM looks like it is warming the column from the bottom up rather than nosing in warm air aloft first...it has 850s still below zero with sfc temps in the upper 30s and frz level just above 900mb...Euro was def keeping the lower levels dammed better and much colder.

Doesn't the NAM typically handle damming (or damning) situations better the the EC and GFS?

It seems to be warming 950mb so fast...way faster than any guidance. I don't know...seems like we toss.

0z hrrr not handling temps in NE mass that well as low 30's can be found in majority of essex county along i 95. and even a bit east.

 

actually most models that i've looked at euro/gfs/nam btv wrf all had temps to mild for essex county at this time and had radar too far south for this time as well
