I quite literally lit the fuse an ran from the office today. Finished up midnights by chucking some warnings, so I can see if they verify from the comfort of my living room surrounded by some cold beverages.

Hope nobody comes knocking, I probably would not open it if does not verify.............. :)

Yeah I envision draininge from Maine and NH but like you said...the source region is marginal. But every little bit helps and areas along the NW side of 495 will benefit most since Cpick was asking.

maybe i can pull of 32.3 and rain instead of 33.1 and rain in lowell tmrw <_<

hoping to pick up a quick 1"-2" here before it flips

Yeah I'm in town now an it's 40. 37 back at my house.

Aren't you glad G'filed's a big place????

Antecedent but it's colder feeling now then this morning, this morning smelled and felt springing, definte chill this afternoon. 1-3 for me 4-6 NCT Will 6-9 Peter 10-15 MPM same Dendrite 12-15 Mainiacs 14-16 plus

We'll see.  Regardless, I know my daughter will get a snow day.

So true on the smell.  Sure sign of warmer weather is when the manure in the barn begins to thaw.  Noticed it a few days back.  Cow smell going strong.

Twisted Sister?

Can't.  It's too risque', even with the image being of a natural landscape.  The amwx police will come down on me like a 2" per hour paste job on MT. Tolland in the middle of Morch.

LOL

Congrats MPM.

Don't spike.

Still going with the 1-3" for us?

...Well, maybe less for me.  You do have an extra 100 or more so feet of elevation.

:snowing:

its pretty much a now cast i think wrt the wall of precip moving up the east coast and when it overspreads you. i think mt tolland will be snowing by 2 am , i hope our friend gets 4 hrs of 2'hr snows and then only 1 hr of rain before a dry slot rips up his fanny # best case scenario for rev

I am not overly bullish for MBY - thinking 5-8", but wet

Leominster/FIT might only be getting 1-3, 2-4"

MPM - 7-10", ORH/Will 4-7", Petey Pajamas 8-12", Greenfield Chris (the original GC) 6-9"

KTOL 2-3", Ginx C-2", TAN-Bob C-1", BIrv 10-13", Dendrite 10-13", Dryslut 11-14", MaineEricHawk 5-7"

Bos dudes...sorry...

I'm trying to remember the last time the NAM/SREFs were so insistent on a warm solution vs the Euro so close in to the event. I recall in the 1/12 event last winter (not the snowstorm from 2 winters ago) it showed us furnacing in the mid-levels extremely fast on a SWFE...we ended up snowing even longer than the Euro said in that one...NAM/SREFs were a total disaster in that one. Missing the forecast by literally 3C.

I never did understand what cause them to be so horrible so close in that event...but I'm wondering if the same thing is happening in this one. It could be the Euro is wrong, but it does have some support from the Ukie/GEM models. GFS is kind of in between the two camps, though perhaps leaning just a smidge toward the NAM/SREFs.

Agreed....but why so low for Eric?

almost have to think the Euro is just too cold on this one--there's no cold air source at all....

That doesn't explain the huge discrepency in the mid-levels though.  We already know cold near the sfc will be at a premium which is why lower elevations are toast.

Well the new zones imply north of 12" for the Laconia/Belknap area and 10+ for CON, so if you go down, you will have company...

And if nothing else, you have us.

Where do I sign up?  Though we're getting to the stage where an extra 400' of elev is often worth more than my half degree latitude advantage.
