As much as Kevin sugarcoats things...snowpack in NE CT in the hills isn't going to get oblirated in this...its not warm enough. A 36F rain won't do it. Even as it gets over 40F, esp on Thursday under the ULL, that wont do it either unless its 40/40 fog which it won't be. It will be a steep lapse rate environ with probably low to mid 30s dewpoints.

Its more like a steady drip rather than a snow pack obliterator. Esp if you get a couple inches of paste to start the whole storm.

Sshh don't tell Phil and Coventry. They're expecting all rain and mid - upper 40's lol

Where did Phil say upper 40s for you?  You will have a period of snow. 1-3", transitioning to maybe a brief period of sleet, than over to all rain and not the light variety.  Ice will be almost non-existent in this S of I-90.  Temps will be in the 30's at the onset of precip.

sshh...i didn't say that.

i think you'll get 1.5" of snow to start...flip to a mix of snow and sleet...then quickly go to plain rain. probably see about 1/2" of liquid. temps will climb from about 31F/32F through the 30s during the rest of the day. hold steady between 34-36F Wed Night then climb to about 43 or 44F for a time Thursday morning before starting to cool down as colder air eventually moves in aloft and at the surface. i think you'll see a net loss in snow cover of several inches. i think thursday evening you'll transition back to flurries and light snow showers and maybe get a light coating.

If I'm thinking the same storm, I did pretty well in that.

Meanwhile, it's torching here which probably spells doom for this one in 2013.

I've been getting the feeling the last few weeks I'm not wanted around here

Lighten up, Francis.....

It's snowy at the top.

Kev's one of the most active posters so it's natural the discussion moves that way, I'm just surprised by how many red taggers specifically mention it.

Those twin peaks there.......all I can say is "hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm".

I would love for that to be true. I got clobbered in that storm, some crazy rates helped my hill pick up like 11" in that before the rain washed it all away. I stayed up all night in that storm lol.

I dont think i will get as lucky in this one. Princeton will be ground zero around here as usual.

Well I don't think the amounts will match that storm...we had like 12" in 8 hours in that one. Don't think we can pull that off this time, but who knows. In that storm Pricneton had like 16". This time, it might be 9" vs 4" lower down or something...but we'll just have to see how much that easterly LLJ helps out. (or hurts)
