moneypitmike
Once the disappointment of the big storm that was forecast wears off... this still does have serious potential as Scott mentioned. I'd just think it's a horror show to figure out where right now. On the other hand, it's pretty darn easy to figure out where it's not. Been snizzling here for about the last 90 minutes or so
dendrite
Hopefully the models have settled in now. Little worried about surface temperatures being a couple of degrees above freezing tomorrow outside of any decent banding but we'll see.Snowing near moderate right now under the beam with big aggregates. 32.8F

powderfreak
Snowing here as well. Started 20-30 minutes ago. Vis of the hills reduced some, 30F. We've had some brief bursts of great dendrites but just a light snow. Heavier stuff about to move in. Fairly widespread 30dbz or greater moving into northern VT... which I find usually equates to moderate to heavy snow with 1"/hr here in the mountains. Hopefully some of these hold together for a while.

weathafella
Unlike many I've enjoyed this transformation from a blizzard rivaling 2 weeks ago to a pedestrian event focused southern areas to a upper level low thump late to an inverted trof northern areas mainly to a ??? Typhoon Tip
Lovely drizzle here. What a horribly forecast storm. Models have been atrocious and so have many mets. I think I led the way there - HA! I am regretting having started this thread. But at the time, there wasn't much being discussed, and it was the only thing thing on the table. The fact of the matter is, there is an "event" (whatever that ultimately turns out to be, and for whom vs no one ha) in the runs. We can either be crying children, and adult and use it as a learning thing.

I think there is still a shot at a middling sort of event here. Did anyone notice the NAM came back with impressive 30 hour QPF totals for the Coast? That's an interesting QPF max/CCB appeal up near PWM, too.

powderfreak
Huge flakes falling here now.. like the size and mass of small pinecones, lol. Coming down harder than it was at the time of this photo 15 minutes ago. Nice snow globe stuff. These flakes are so big that each one that lands accounts for a tenth or two of accumulation. I've got clumps on the snowboard of up to 0.25-0.5" while other areas have no flakes on it, lol.
