as good a setup for an inverted trough that I have seen and have confidence in for quite a while. it will be interesting to watch this develop. with all the moaning, there is still 4-6 forecast for a good chunk of the area and a surprise or 2 may still be in store for us.

lol, You can still see the s/w over the UP of michigan, This was not modeled at all that i can see

Matt Noyes:  "Storm center south of New England fizzles...game changer in all aspects

"

At least we will be able to cover up the dirty snow. I like the words, "game changer," though. You guys all have this, but just checked it.

Will that show up as the map? Haven't tried to post a graphic/photo here yet.

In any case, looks like the Cape around the Canal is in the sweet spot for precip. Don't know what temps will be down there. Don't make me drive all the way to Blue Hill to hit the slopes!

The map you posted is valid through 12z Sun,  with more precip beyond that.

I saw a lot of "boys crying for there mamma's" posts over the last two weeks post blizzard regarding this 4 week long epic pattern. It might be a complete failure, but it was a fantastic winter no complaints. Hope you had fun on Mt Washington!!

1 storm tickled the right way in epic fashion the rest were teases. Cards can align again and prob will.

Plus there's always the inv trough

Still not over.  I'd say we have 2-3 weeks left with some chances....at some point it will break down, but Euro weeklies look good through mid March

Just stop. Bang your spring drum in 3 weeks or in your spring fling thread. The pattern looks very impressive - whether that materializes into something, who knows?

Thats fine Phil, my point was pretty simple so far the pattern has only delivered rain here.  Yes, I know you got a few inches of dust last weekend, but that storm in the end was dissapointing, this storm is obviously very dissapointing compared to its potential.  Mid week is a rainstorm for most if not all of sne, so when does this epic pattern deliver?  Do we have to rely on retrograding systems in early March for snow?

All fair points and questions, the blizzard was incredible, since then its been dreadful, with a few light rain events scattered over two weeks around here.  As far as taking it to my thread no problem, its great to see the respect of opinion go both ways!
