Chrisrotary12
Bet those bridge jumpers wish they hadn't!! It is amazing the amount of flip flopping that goes on with each individual computer model run that goes on. Even from some of the professionals! Quincy
Very ballsy forecast from NBC, but you know, it could verify. I'm holding back to more conservative numbers unless 00z GFS and Euro cool things off.
ChrisM
NBC CT map: That is pretty bullish...interesting. While CT Rain is away Bob Maxon will play.

wxsniss
Curious to see the HPC model diagnostics disco... 18z was on it's own at h5, with dramatic differences in outcome Discounting today's 18z, we now have 3 consecutive big hit runs (ie SNE blue bombs) by the Nam

40/70 Benchmark
NAM has quite the death band hitting Ray's area in NE MA at the end. Man....what a crush that is here.

Logan11
Hah ...The NAM will never verify though. This reminds me of a couple runs before the SNE blizzard tha thad 20" here in the ALB area. We know how well that worked out.
ag3
This shows the rain/snow cutoff. Easy way to convert is 25mm is 1". 0z NAM total precip as rain: 0z NAM total precip as snow:

One additional 3 hour period of bombing QPF @ 00z and the 12z and 00z would paint nearly identical ridiculous amounts. consistency ftw?

weathafella
RGEM really snows hard surprisingly from Kevin to mpm to will to ray to me and down to the canal at 45-48 hours.
weatherwiz
Freaking sickening...why do you people even look at the NAM? All you do is discount it. Why do you people even bother to look at it if you think it sucks so much?
ChrisM
Brad Field made that map. Oh okay. Still a pretty bullish map. Even the nam was only like 12" of snow for my house in NW CT and like 8" in N Tolland/Windham Counties and it is the snowiest major model. Interesting. I honestly do not know what to think. The mets here have laid out the pitfalls and concerns, amped up dynamics overcome a crap air mas, fractured SW and you end up with a slop fest. Basically tomorrow at 1 pm maybe even Friday night, Sat morning until its all reality. Man this is the toughest forecast in years, so many little players. The NAM is sick though but save a horsey dwarf ride the Euro.

ORH_wxman
RGEM is snowing hard across a lot of the region by 00z Saturday evening, but I don't like the upper air look on it since it is lagging the southern vort energy behind a bit.
