Let's see how the rest of the year's tracks compare to the Phase-60 storm clusters. Bump…the tracks for the QBO phase last season and the finalized track map suggest that the QBO MQI was a rather decent, though far from perfect, predictor for impacted areas this season…note the concentration of tracks (Barry, Fernand, Ingrid) in the BOC that verified quite nicely. Although not a huge breakthrough, this is the first time I've seen a predictor for storm concentration used with such accuracy.
