Geos
Was about to post the same thing. This band is getting demolished. Got the special teams unit on the field, running the play clock down for the punt... You're probably within a half hour of the snow now.
IWXwx
Precip hasn't reached here yet. I was waiting because I wanted to see some ripping snow. But with all of the sleet reports, I'm going to bed. I've already seen enough sleet that I don't care to see any more my entire life.

cyclone77
Finally saturated down to the point where we're getting more than a few flakes blowing in the breeze. Legit light snow now. Starting to dust up the sidewalks. Dry slot already up to Galesburg, so gonna have to enjoy this hour long snow while it lasts.

KokomoWX
Party's over... FORECAST DISCUSSION: Strong low level northeast to east winds are bringing in prolific amounts of dry air that are just eating away at the snow coming north. I have dropped accumulationss significantly... now in the 1"-3" range almost everywhere, except west of I-39, which could see up to 4"...but even there, it could be on the low end of things. The rest of the forecast is good, including, unfortunately, the freezing drizzle part for tomorrow...but the dry air tonight will reduce snow amounts. weatherbo
from IWX HAVE NOT MADE MANY ADJUSTMENTS TOFORECASTED SNOWFALL AMOUNTS...ALTHOUGH SOME CONCERNS BEGINNING TOTAKE SHAPE IN REALIZING THESE AMOUNTS. STRONGER UPPER VORTMAX NOW APPEARS TO BE LIFTING THROUGH NORTHERN/WESTERNMISSOURI. THIS SHORT WAVE SHOULD LIFT INTO THE AREA OVERNIGHT BUTWEDGE OF MUCH DRIER MID LEVEL AIR WILL ALSO RAPIDLY ADVECTNORTHWARD WITH THIS FORCING. MAY SEND A LATE EVENING UPDATE TOSLIGHTLY LOWER PREVIOUS ACCUMULATIONS BASED ON CURRENT TRENDS Southern MI, take note!
csnavywx
Steady freezing drizzle has set in, heavy enough to appreciably accrete. 0.1" of extra glaze since on the car since I got home.Thickening crust of glaze on top of our snow and the trees are making that telltale "crackle" sound in the breeze. Hopefully this doesn't continue all night or it could become quite problematic.
blue60007
Slant sticking. -PL continues. And the Illini struggling against PSU. What a great night. I think there's some freezing rain mixing in. My window is wet

cyclone77
Just ripping out there all the sudden. Probably about a quarter mile in heavy snow. Even under decent returns a bit ago we had just light snow. We obviously saturated even further and with the heavier returns it's snowing quite heavily. Natester
According the the DVN radar, I could get dryslotted in the short term but I think I already picked up about 2 inches of snow.
Chicago WX
Well, my earlier call of 0.5" with mixing issues for MBY will work out well. Foolish last call bump to 1" though. And really foolish for seeing what was going on earlier to the south and west, would ultimately deliver a surprise here. Maybe a lesson or two learned. Geos
because of who he is, it's hard not to give him the benefit of the doubt. I should remember this was never supposed to get going before 10pm here. I definitely give him the benefit of the doubt. Should get a more technical disco in 10 min when comes back on. cyclone77
DVN down to a quarter mile. Snowflakes are pretty small, but it's sort of "pouring" small flakes. Kind of similar to GHD but with about 65mph less wind.
Natester
Well, the snow has let up a bit but still snowing at a good clip. Since the radar is filling in, it's kind of unlikely that I'll get dryslotted.
