All systems are a go for another substantial snowfall for Boston area..heaviest snow Sunday Morning

Trend is our friend...for most of us..

Good to see Harvey confident for the BOS folks. He usually doesn't bark much until he's sure. The trend of having that CCB/deformation really pop before exiting stage right is very good for the E MA coastal folk.

No surprise, but he also tweeted this:

Harvey Leonard@HarveyWCVB

Some rain or mix may get involved for a while Sat. Nt, esp. So. Coast & Cape, and possibly East Coast of MA up to Boston

The map is mm equivalent of liquid that falls as snow.

20"-25" shade is 1" of precip or about 10"-12" of snow.

Boston, is in the 40mm shade, which is about 1.5" of liquid as snow.

LOL.  Sun's shining brightly in my eyes.

This is rapidly becoming a 'typical for the year' central/eastern MA deal leaving GC and NNE getting the crumbs.  The remoras to the sharks as it were.

At least we hold our snow pack. lol

I have a friend from Charlemont who has been here most of his life and he always says NW MA gets plenty of snow just never all at once.

Same can probably be said of S VT.

I do expect mix for now in BOS during some of this..unless this nukes near the BM and rapidly backs winds NE.

It's starting to look that way now.  More colder solutions seem to be in the making and if the taint makes it up to Logan International, it will be very short lived.

Legitimately feeling badly for the folks in the Berks and southern VT.  Tough year for them as the biggies have been just out of reach.  I'd gladly take rain on this and pass the frozen stuff up to you folks.

Thanks--but keep it.  Everyone should have a time of fun.

That's cold comfort, Chris.  We're used to amasssing and keeping.  I have 8-12" at the Pit. I doubt it'll happen like this, but  If this keeps drifting I'd emerge from the weekend with 12-16".  Alas.
