CoastalWx
As much as it's bashed, to see the GFS pull this is a confidence booster. That's how you view guidance this far out. SREFs did this too.
HoarfrostHubb
All systems are a go for another substantial snowfall for Boston area..heaviest snow Sunday Morning Trend is our friend...for most of us.. Good to see Harvey confident for the BOS folks. He usually doesn't bark much until he's sure. The trend of having that CCB/deformation really pop before exiting stage right is very good for the E MA coastal folk. No surprise, but he also tweeted this: Harvey Leonard@HarveyWCVB Some rain or mix may get involved for a while Sat. Nt, esp. So. ChrisM
Man we'd be right on the line here on the GFS it looks like. A 20 mile shift either way would mean so much here.. Does anyone think this has any chance to cool off in the 950-700mb layers with this same track?

CT Rain
Ugh GFS is virtually all sleet/rain here in CT. Maybe some weenie snows at the end. Agreed that it appears we're heading toward a C/E Mass special. I'd rather be in Taunton than Bradley for this one lol.
CoastalWx
BOS will net 6-12 at least IMHO. If this somehow goes apesh*t, then it's possible they are a 33F SN during the "warmest" part. It's real tricky in the lowest 1000ft. If the euro can come in stronger and slightly cooler..it may do just that. Very close call right along the water here. moneypitmike
The map is mm equivalent of liquid that falls as snow. 20"-25" shade is 1" of precip or about 10"-12" of snow. Boston, is in the 40mm shade, which is about 1.5" of liquid as snow. LOL. Sun's shining brightly in my eyes. This is rapidly becoming a 'typical for the year' central/eastern MA deal leaving GC and NNE getting the crumbs. The remoras to the sharks as it were. moneypitmike
Legitimately feeling badly for the folks in the Berks and southern VT. Tough year for them as the biggies have been just out of reach. I'd gladly take rain on this and pass the frozen stuff up to you folks. Thanks--but keep it. Everyone should have a time of fun. At least we hold our snow pack. lol I have a friend from Charlemont who has been here most of his life and he always says NW MA gets plenty of snow just never all at once. Same can probably be said of S VT. That's cold comfort, Chris. We're used to amasssing and keeping. I have 8-12" at the Pit. I doubt it'll happen like this, but If this keeps drifting I'd emerge from the weekend with 12-16". Alas.
