moneypitmike
I'll be happy if he rains. I don't have a snowpack fetish like he does. You're cruel. Not really, that was like 2" at my house down low but only about 5" up in Shelburne/Colrain. I recall my disappointment when i thought I was going to have a big ski day out in the woods. I really don't remember this at all. LOL, he asked and he got a couple of opinions. At least we had consensus, mahk & I. You're CNE too, btw. LOL. Where can people access the 18z GFS enemble member maps? On e-wall, I'm only seeing those for 00 and 12. Thanks.

moneypitmike
Per the HWO: THERE IS HIGH PROBABILITY FOR A STRONG COASTAL STORM TO IMPACT SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND LATE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY. POSSIBLE BRINGING HEAVY WET SNOW TO PORTIONS OF THE REGION ALONG WITH STRONG WINDS ALONG THE COAST. EXACT SPECIFICS ARE STILL UNCERTAIN AT THIS TIME GIVEN IT/S STILL 3-4 DAYS AWAY. Lots of room for changes, folks. We can all still rain. LOL--pretty high pop for 3 days out! Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of snow. Highs in the lower 30s.Saturday Night And Sunday: Snow. Lows in the upper 20s. Highs in the mid 30s. Chance of snow 90 percent.Sunday Night: Snow likely. Lows in the lower 20s. Chance of snow 60 percent.

Typhoon Tip
Good to see the Plains get some precip. Watch 'em get a 93 summer flood redux this late spring when there isn't a climate model around high enough to smoke that -

Damage In Tolland
I'll be happy if he rains. I don't have a snowpack fetish like he does. The chances of the 18z GFS verifying when everything else points colder is very very slim. Again..this is the model that gave me 6-12 inches of snow this past weekend from 18 hours out. I think I'm ok lol
Damage In Tolland
That's what I am hoping! 25 mile difference between you and I could mean a lot at this point. It's hard to believe how many good mets are buying the GFS and treating it as viable. Even the Nam destroys most of CT. the 6z GFS was all snow..Then 18z was all rain..lol Euro stayed the course. Which do you side with?

When you have good hardened mets like Mountain man questioning why anyone is using the GFS it should at the very least raise some eyebrows. There's a block to our north..It's not going to let a storm bring a rainstorm into Central New England lol. Watch the 00z be 200 miles south

It has no support. We have a high , we have a block. We have a bombing storm with massive dynamics in a classic position. I'm just not understanding how you think this is a driving rainstorm. Provide facts not an off hour 18z GFS run

Though it can't go much more north, I won't be suprised at all to see other models tick upward. Perhaps not like the 18z GFS, but, the gfs is not alone in coming north today. Sugarloaf1989
What did I say in my previous posts? A north of the pike snowstorm will provide epic meltdowns in more ways than just the effect that would have on the local snowpack.
