Damage In Tolland
There is taint on the Euro for you...you still get plenty of snow though. Not sure why you insist on disagreeing with simple arithmatic.Do you think I'm going to just accept that without questioning it or looking for sound reasons why it won't happen? ORH_wxman
Do you think I'm going to just accept that without questioning it or looking for sound reasons why it won't happen? You can say why you think it won't verify with sound reasoning...which is fine, but don't say the Euro didn't have taint on its 12z run....it did. Describing what the model shows and what you think will happen are two different things.

moneypitmike
Yeah, Getting to 40/70 then moving east is not good up here, Getting to 41/70 were good or close to Yeah--I'm not a fan of the benchmark, either. Calling it the "benchmark" is kind of like Cape Cod, MA, USA, Earth. It's only the benchmark for some. 12z Euro snow map. No taint FTW AWT http://twitter.com/SNEWeather/status/304314286589755392/photo/1 Dude--that map says it assumes a 10:1 ratio. If you don't have that ratio, you'll be appropriate higher or lower. Taint = lower ratio.
CoastalWx
Why? If I don't like something I am going to do my damnedest to change it. You know that about me by now. You can't change the weather. Like Will said, don't just lie and say it shows no taint. Maybe the final result is no taint, but as of now..models taint you for a time. I don't like it eaither, but it's part of every winter. If anything, you get your sappling snapper since you are borderline.
CoastalWx
BOX with a great sentence here. "GIVEN TIME RANGE /84-96HRS/ HERE AND MODEL INCONSISTENCY NEED TOSTILL VIEW THIS IN PROBABILISTIC TERMS RATHER THAN DETERMINISTIC."
moneypitmike
Yeah for you it would. You can see the height falls and the little ESE tug of that MSLP center too. Still a lot of time to go, but it seems at this range that from Hubb Dave through Dendrite/Jeff/Eric will be big, big winners. Less as you head SE from there, less as you head west from there. CoastalWx
yeah folks are already chucking numbers. amazing to me. It bothers me to see the OCMs chucking numbers and showing what the "GFS" and "euro" show. Harvey said it perfectly last night. Laid out the details and said significant accumulations possible. None of this weenie crap of showing snow algorithms.

ORH_wxman
What are you talking about? The weenie-ism on saying models show stuff they don't or the IMBY obsession with the R/S line which really doesn't matter that much since it goes back to heavy snow quickly. We are 84 hours out..stuff is going to oscillate. Lets not clutter up the threads. We've already 5 posted people today.
weatherMA
yeah folks are already chucking numbers. amazing to me. Channel 7 threw out 6-12" this morning. People have told me they heard 18". The most amazing thing to me is that news stations tweet the GFS from a few runs ago which showed 14" or something in BOS, people/radio stations/etc. re post on FB/retweet it....and bam, everyone expects over a foot of snow in Boston for a storm still over 3 days out. Twitter's heavy heavy downside.

Don't make a call yourself, but chuck what the GFS and Euro show to pump up ratings. If it busts, well you can't trust those models. If it hits, well you heard it here first.
