Mr Torchey
As expected fire watches going up.......I said a few days ago how dry things were, I was shocked at how dry the soil is. Its worrisome due to all the fuel left behind from Sandy around here, not to mention the blizzard and other wind events.

Almost seems too low, but raw F-6 data says KGON only had 0.25" of precipitation all of March...

We are bone dry, more than an inch and a half below normal for March, these low dew west wind days just evaporate soil moisture. Same thing happened this time last year, only temps were ridiculous combined with low dews and west winds. Smokers be smart.

Quincy
The 0.25" monthly precipitation amount for KGON is not correct. F-6 not matching up with observation history. Either way, I'm sure it was still much drier than normal.

Allsnow
Same for BOS. Last night first time since 2007. Real good call by you a few days out. I was all the way down to acy today, really no spring push at all. Even the grass is not greening up down there yet. Obv a few warm days in a row can change that. Mr Torchey
Same for BOS. Last night first time since 2007. That is incredible since the average low on April 1 in Boston is 36, a true testament to how warm its been, only a meager -4 night time low would have produced freezing temp at logan over the last 6 years. Hard to believe.

Allsnow
Incredibly though reports of forsythia in full bloom in SE Mass The buds are opening up more down there and noticed some chick weed. Other then that not much. Perhaps the salt air delays it also.
Mr Torchey
Lol well we've asked for pictures of this widespread deep forsythia bloom in full force and thus far have not received even one Bobby put one up yesterday, its very spotty here but out, certainly not in full bloom though. Normal climo is mid month here, closer to third week atop Mt Tolland, the last couple years certainly do not represent normality with the insane heat. He came here a couple Morch's ago when we had 2 inches of snow here on the first day of spring and the valley had 33 and white rain. He interviewed me and it aired on the 5:00 and 6:00 pm newscasts . I wonder if could find that clip and post it here. I was in all my glory
