CoastalWx
It's already warming up...maybe 1-2 days below 50 in the next week. Big deal. I think it gets colder than that for a couple of days. That's a chilly airmass.

Modfan
All busting aside, we should warm up fairly nicely after the 10th and may continue througn the end of the month..at least for the northeast in general. We know the caveats here. The Rev will switch from Snowfall amount talk to Wildfire/drought talk. As a Fire Fighter (Ginx understands) this time of year we focus on the brush fire season. Last year we had a modest one, although we greened up rather quickly due to the mild winter. Not sure what to expect this year? With the amount of storms we had over the winter I am sure we might have a active season with folks burning off winter debris from their yards
SlantStickers Anonymous
When I was a teenager in the 80's had chickens and a little neighborhood egg route. One day the racoons massacred my flock...that was a gruesome sight. After that we had to fortify even the upper windows of the coop. Brutal, caring for chickens can be like playing Oregon trail sometimes lol.

HIPPYVALLEY
Fox was out this week. Killed all but one of my neighbor's 16 chickens. He was hovering around our chicken coop yesterday a.m. Beautiful creature. Those critters have a scream that makes your hair stand on end. they have a social call they use that sounds like a crow being tortured. Lol Healthy fox population = less mice which = less lyme carrying ticks. Fox are one of my favorites to see.
Cold Miser
Yeah we had one in the yard last week. Call foghorn leghorn, is you a chicken or is you a hawk. Do the name of Ruby Begonia strike a familiar name in your vocabulary. lol. Before my time, but I think I've heard that name related to an old t.v. show. Baroclinic Zone
Man the debris down this year is huge. As you know it's all about RH Hopefully we can get some nice rain events in the next few weeks as we begin to green up. It's going to get worse in the next year or two as those fallen trees dry out. It's amazing the amount of damage that Feb Blizzard caused.

I just do a large campfire size - not like most folks around here who like to burn piles the size of a small house. Soon it may be too dry and I'll have to wait till everything greens up.
