Had a handful of graupel on the vehicles before I headed in to work, now only small scattered clouds in AUG, temp 43. Given this morning's upper 20s, my temp will avg +5/6 today, after Sunday's +3 and Yest -2. (Diff was the low, 26 Sun 16 Mon.) Looks like we'll be a bit above the norm thru Friday, perhaps well above over the weekend. March avg was +1.2 thru 3/25, think we'll finish +2/2.5. The 4 winter months (March counts, here) have all been milder than normal both this winter and last, 09-10 too, though this winter's departures are much less than those others.

Just have to say this thread brings me entertainment daily. :D

Anyway, 35º and sunny here in Lafayette, IN at 1:00pm. Still holding onto 6" of snow pack. March 2013 running -7.3º at LAF through yesterday. Our average high temperature this month is currently running 6.8º below the average low temperature of March 2012. Amazing.

Deep Deep winter out here! Sun 50 I would guess and life exploding as we gently tickle towards April............old school spring until mid April, then the HAMMER drops.

VIva la Spring, get out and enjoy life, turn the frown upside down!

Some just have a problem letting go Joe, April is less then a week away, But did you know that it is now a winter month? But i guess for some in the back of their minds as they look out their window and see their slowly rotting snow pack, I guess you can kid yourself that its still a winter wonderland out there with sub freezing temps day and night..............lol

Just got back from a weekend in DC/Baltimore.  Nice beautiful wet snow yesterday morning. I'd  thought I would report on signs of spring down south.  As with us everything is running behind.  Cherry blossoms just starting to open in DC.  Grass is becoming green but forsythia has not opened in DC yet but has in Fredricksburg just to the south. Daffodils and crocus were all up and everyone had planted pansies although they didn't look too happy in the snow.  Im sure 50F and Mid Atlantic sun took care of their snow yesterday.

Up here in Central NH we are 80% snowcovered and big lakes are frozen very solid. Ice out is still weeks away on NH big lakes.

-6-7 850s is yielding 51 here under a mostly cloudy sky.  FWD ten days and with normal tone down of cold, combined with even stronger sun and climo, its really not a big deal at all on the coastal plain.

If people in the interior are still hoping for snow in April outside NNE mountains, well you might get lucky but for most of us its super meh.
