Starting to get some nice lake effect streamers moving in from the WNW. Pretty unusual to get this in mid March, but it looks and feels like a midwinter day today with off and on flurries and snow showers. We had a coating this morning, but that melted due to the sun angle.

Midnight high was 29° F here, but we've not gotten above 24° F during the daylight hours. A far cry from last year's Morch.

The departures are going to drop like an anchor between now and next weekend. The only way we'd get a warm day is if the Tuesday system ends up as a cutter.

Yep, no doubt about that, heck normal days will tear apart the departures so this is a given, I have -0.7 for BOS and -1.2 for NYC in the march departure thread, I think those were both very solid calls two weeks ago, time will tell.

Great spring fling day today...

Never got anywhere close to freezing, even in the valleys.

At 5:30pm I'm already down to 16F at 750ft with a wind chill near zero.

The Spine picked up a general 5-10 inches of new snow since yesterday evening and the upslope flurries/snow showers are still flying.

Looks like we are really in for a nice cold stretch with this -NAO.   GO GO GO and enjoy the snow & cold.
