Lol Scott

A couple of weeks back I was snowblowing and forgot about the extension cord for those lights

Almost destroyed the snowblower

Yeah I did a number on set of rechargeable LED ones with the shovel after one of the blizzards.

Kevin's neighbor is one step away from hanging the icicle lights off the eaves year round'

I don't understand the dewpoint fetish

I just don't. The few wimpy thunderstorms we get are not worth the misery

It's fun with convection if you can squeeze a lot of those sultry PWATs out of the column, but other than that high dews are fairly worthless. I don't have AC so those few 70s td days make for hideous sleeping weather.

I'm thinking about putting in central air next year. If that's the case I'll join the high dew fetish crowd.

I had to deal with 93/77 daily at APF while I was there. The closest I can compare to that up here is the day before the 100F heat in July 2011. I prefer a little humidity over A/C since it dries my skin out. Summer is my only chance to escape nose bleeds.

I don't need central air when I have the Gulf of Maine a stones throw from my window. Of course I live under constant threat of a June afternoon pneumonia front.

My first shift at DVN I pulled off an 88/84 afternoon in August. Walking out of the air conditioned WFO to head to the inflation building for balloon launch I had the moisture condense on me. Truly an unpleasant experience.

Here is the largest ensete maurelii I've grown as pictured on October 8th last year, just hours before I strained every muscle in my body trying to lift it into a pot for winter.  Pardon the mess, I had already ripped out most of the plants in front of it.

That thing is awesome.  Wow.

Here in death valley no such relief. Back home in Guilford it was always nice to rely on the Sound for some 3 p.m. relief most days.

That's about what I got, too - - I had between the 10th and 15th as the big flip.  Though clearly we've turned the corner about on schedule.

The last 3 years worth of marches have been pretty unrealistic.  This is much more climo friendly, but actually even more so in that we had a big snow event this time, plus the cold departures over the last 12 days.

So people love high dews but hide inside all night with AC and fans, they should be forced into tent cities.

That's like saying that just because people prefer bitter cold and snow, they should be forced to spend the night out side naked.
