Come on Jamie, dont forget the arse whoopings you guys gave us in the RichRod era hahaha. I will give CPA this...it is way way better at football than major snowstorms. In all seriousness congrats on the win guys, they were great last night and Chambers will be a great coach.

RichRod is such a weasel.

Anyway, big Charlie Brown Christmas flakes falling right now.

New Euro is oh so close to giving the LSV a storm. Troll b**ch.

Ipt 38.2 sunny but flurries lol, were the in between...still stuck at 25 inches for the season.

Stuck at 7.5" here.

Call me odd, I cut my grass short each fall in the hopes of snow covering it so I can't see it. Well, my grass has not been covered (only need 2" to do the trick) since 10/2011...2 consecutive winters to date without a 2" snowfall. Man am I ever paying for 09/10...

I heard the FD get called to a lawn mower fire the other day, i chuckled, as i thought, no way is someone mowing their grass already.

It is LSV's luck that this storm will stay to the south and give DC/NOVA and Central/Southern Virginia their snow to leave the LSV as the only part of the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast without much for the season.

Sounds like 79-80. I was a 12-year-old ball of rage that winter. Although we had like 3-4 winter storm/heavy snow warning busts so that year was worst.

If DC gets the storm and LSV doesnt, we are just taking it and dumpin it from York to Hburg to Shippensburg. Seriously thougj, if it misses you guys I hope it misses everybody lol.

At this point, i'm honestly good either way. In my mind, i'm already mowing grass, tending my garden and teaching kids how to hit!

GFS continuing to show a system track through northern canada next week to break up the blocking and kick out the trough ending the near/below normal start to March rather quickly...

Not sure how much I am buying the GFS and other models, no matter what the solution. For example, that same run has a snowstorm for the Myrtle Beach spring break people.

Hoping for warmth...nothing I hate more than cold and dry with inconsequential flizzards.

I had season tickets until 3 years ago. I'm too wrapped up in my kids games now. I only make it up to a couple of games a year.

At least around here, it has the feel and look of a late November day.

steady light snow has been falling here for the last hour or so..

We had a really good snow shower around 11 or so, but since then we've had that really lousy light pellet snow that normally falls in November or March/April. Not good for anything, just is unpleasant.

I just wanted to stop in and see how everyone is doing! I will be making another relocation as I'm moving on to another job :)  I will be in good old California, Sunnyvale to be exact. I am really excited, but the weather I'm afraid is going to be rather boring. However I plan on visiting the sierras to get my snow fix and I'm excited for that as well! I will never have to suffer through a hot humid summer again!!! I'm going to LOVE the 60-70s all year round, then head to the mountains to get my snow addiction :snowing:    March 18th can't come soon enough, the next 2 weeks is going to feel like senior itis at work lol.

Considering the outcome of the tracks of the last couple storms, this mid range event can stay down there for the time being on model progs. Def an interesting forecasted track right now, dropping into Montana and crashing southeast off the NC/SC coast.

Thankyou pawatch! much appreciated. I will give plenty of updates, and if a big mountain snow event takes places and if I happen to have some time off, I want to get some footage! I better break out the yardstick for those wooo.

By next winter I will have a better idea of the area and where the best place would be to capture an event like that. Experiencing an all out blizzard on the tall peaks of the mountain west is on the top of my list to witness. I would love to share that kind of event with you guys! I miss talking winter here, but lately there hasn't been anything to hardly talk about :(  ...I can't wait to be in the fire hose of death! taste the pineapple!!

The GFS was also much closer to an event at 0z but further southeast and out to sea with this storm. The European delivered about an inch of QPF to AOO/UNV/IPT and in excess of 1.5" to places like MDT/LNS. QPF reduces pretty drastically once to about JST (0.5-ish and much lighter) and Pit's only getting a few tenths as the shield from the coastal winding up really gets the eastern half of PA. Not really any thermal issues either. Def would be a quick way to get the LSV and the tropic of DC up to snuff with their seasonal snowfall if this comes to fruition. I'd like to see some run to run consistency obviously, but we got a couple more models on board tonight.
