Ginx snewx
No this shouldn't be nearly as bad with power stuff. Outer Cape might have some issues but as this evolves it should be much drier. Also wind will be good but not great. Not 60-80 for hours on end. Great that is the kind of storm you can really enjoy. Have fun bro
Damage In Tolland
That's awesome! Maybe you can tickle 100? When do the models show significant cooling of the BL? Stuck in the low 40s here. I had no idea you coastal folks were that warm. 32.2/24 here. You should cool quick tonight as low cranks and wind go n

OceanStWx
Going to be fun to watch regardless. Strong dynamics at play, just look at the tranverse banding of the high level clouds associated with the 160+ knot jet streak rounding the base of the trough. A lot of lightning breaking out off the South Carolina coast too.

Clinch Leatherwood
NAM still off the bus. Nah, it's much better. It may not get there in real terms, but look at 14 hours, Shifted the main feature a few hundred miles west. It's coming along.

Clinch Leatherwood
Def west. Scott, I'm happy now. Check out 12-14 hours at 500mb vs the 12z particularly right on the Delmarva coast. That's the "issue" with the east models. Weak with that feature and well east because of the convection. You can see the flip in this run and it brings everything west. RAP has agreed with this for a few runs now, it's real. Going to be a fun night. I'm still torn on buying a generator. I probably should, but oh well. wxsniss
Nice posts on this everyone... been lurking out of skepticism but huge potential for upside 18z vs. 12z NAM significantly better imo... much more emphasis on vorticity over South Carolina vs. pieces further east

If so, probably not as long. Less wind, lighter snow. How long were you w/o power last week? Since 2008 we have not had outages lasting more than a few hours.
