Tropopause_Fold
based on satelite and radar trends and with new guidance. anyone buying tickets for boston .....Including in twitter land) any have any info on any mets that are going out on a limb and seeing something that says...."boom this is coming" and yes weenie me I think 6 is doable in BOS. Just west of the city though I'd expect a big drop
CoastalWx
I think 6 is doable in BOS. Just west of the city though I'd expect a big drop I was thinking 3-6 or 4-6. I frankly have little confidence. I could see 3" or 8"+. There is something about the GFS that scares me. Like what if this band now intensifies and stalls, then pivots and the CCB moves in. Max
Check out that spin in western South Carolina on visible. Looks pretty potent already to me. What do you guys think of it? Edit: There's even convection firing on this thing.

I haven't had a chance to see the euro mid-levels yet but I'm guessing it looks pretty decent. Clinch Leatherwood
It just gets weighted with the other 12z guidance. SREFs, Euro, NavGEM are middle of the road with the GFS the most robust and the RGEm, GGEM, Ukie the Eastern outliers. No reasn to stray too far from last night honestly. 6"+ for CC 4-6" for PYM counties 3-5" for Bristol/Norfolk and so on and so forth. What's the NavGem? RAP is biting on the more intense solutions, toss the easties.
Clinch Leatherwood
Yeah strikes there. Yeah, one of the obs down there had over .5" already, way higher than models. Convection already causing problems.

Damage In Tolland
Tolland works all over it Tolland Works Good Afternoon,The latest computer model runs show the track of the large sea storm slightly closer to New England which is increasing the snowfall forecasts somewhat especially for Eastern Connecticut and Eastern New England. However significant differences remain between the GFS, NAM and EURO computer models therefore this forecast has only a fair to good confidence level at this time. The National Weather Service has not issued any winter weather advisories or watches for Connecticut at this time. Winter Weather Advisories have been issued as close as Rhode Island. This afternoon and This Evening…Mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 30's, dropping to near freezing this evening.Overnight…Light snow developing around midnight in Central and Eastern CT. The snow is expected to become steadier by 4:00 AM in Central and Eastern CT with only some flurries or very light snow in Western CT. Lows in the low 20's.Sunday Morning…Snow during the morning, may be moderate at times in Eastern CT with light snow or flurries in Western CT.Sunday Afternoon…Snow tapering off the flurries in Eastern CT by 5:00 PM. Total accumulations ranging from an inch at the NY border, 2 - 4" in Central CT and 5 - 7" in Eastern CT. Windy with North and then Northwest winds Sunday afternoon gusting to 40 MPH at times. Highs in the upper 20's.

Clinch Leatherwood
So are watching what's going on in the SE states or just off our coast and over us now or both? Jerry, really not much to watch. If the GFS/Euro are right the s/w coming across the Carolinas is the big dog, not the one shooting off the SE coast. Based on the convection in the Carolinas, I feel pretty good the GFS/Euro are right. Once we clear that hurdle we then watch how fast it develops, and how far NW. Everyone's having radar hallucinations..........lol, What a sick hobby this is I'm watching Airplane the movie with the kids. Much funnier than the models.
