weathafella
Euro is a nice middle ground. 3-6 Kevin eastward and 6+ canal east.
weatherMA
GFS is tossed. 3-5 for BOS, 5-8 for cape, 1-3 west of BOS.
Bostonseminole
Euro is a nice middle ground. 3-6 Kevin eastward and 6+ canal east. yeah, I would go with the mid between both.

Damage In Tolland
Euro is a nice middle ground. 3-6 Kevin eastward and 6+ canal east.Yeah Jer. I'm happy with 3-6 here. That's all I've been thinking all along. If this doesn't prove my point about the GFS adding confusion and not helping I don't know what does
weathafella
GFS is tossed. 3-5 for BOS, 5-8 for cape, 1-3 west of BOS. Not what euro says.
CoastalWx
If anything it tightened up the QPF gradient.
CoastalWx
Looks like 0.3 for PWM?
weatherMA
Not what euro says. What do you mean? EURO has like .4 or .5 at BOS...so maybe 4-6 not 3-5?
ORH_wxman
Looks like maybe 0.25" to ORH.
Baroclinic Zone
If anything it tightened up the QPF gradient. I should hope so given the time period. I'll take it. Thanks.
dendrite
Yeah Jer. I'm happy with 3-6 here. That's all I've been thinking all along. If this doesn't prove my point about the GFS adding confusion and not helping I don't know what does Good luck with that. Maybe if things work out in your favor you can pull a 3" or 4", but 6" seems like a stretch to me.
Typhoon Tip
Well AWT. Current IR displays a beaut of a baroclinic leaf and looping this image shows those cloud tops over VA are cooling/expanding ...yet, we miss?
CT Rain
Yeah Jer. I'm happy with 3-6 here. That's all I've been thinking all along. If this doesn't prove my point about the GFS adding confusion and not helping I don't know what does Euro is not even close to 3-6 for you. weathafella
What do you mean? EURO has like .4 or .5 at BOS...so maybe 4-6 not 3-5? 0.25 line goes 50-75 miles west of BOS.
CoastalWx
I wonder what the GFS sees. That's a big difference.
Clinch Leatherwood
Euro is a nice middle ground. 3-6 Kevin eastward and 6+ canal east. Looks good. Remember too, almost every system has had a heavier band further NW than modeled. All good things. Euro is not the UKMET or GGEM.
weathafella
Euro is not even close to 3-6 for you. He gets around .3 which suggests 3+ considering this is high ratio stuff.
CoastalWx
Although it's only a 30-50 mile difference.
CT Rain
He gets around .3 which suggests 3+ considering this is high ratio stuff. I don't see that at all. Per WSI maps he gets a hair over 0.10".
weatherMA
Looks like maybe 0.25" to ORH. 0.25 line goes 50-75 miles west of BOS. Does any of that include what fell this morning post 12z though? If not I would go 2-4 to ORH, 4-6 right along coast, and 6-10 on cape. With the GFS west and everything else east I think I'd almost use the EC verbatim for my forecast.
Damage In Tolland
Good luck with that. Maybe if things work out in your favor you can pull a 3" or 4", but 6" seems like a stretch to me.Yeah the 6 is high unless I can get in on mid level fronto band. Sometimes these push thise bands much father west than modeled. 2-4 is a good forecast here
CoastalWx
Well we will see. I don't completely toss any guidance 24 hrs out, but I do think the GFS may be a bit too amped.
Allsnow
He gets around .3 which suggests 3+ considering this is high ratio stuff. SV maps have him under .
