MJO812
I just turned on TWC and they are concerned about this storm hitting the northeast now. They were talking about how the GFS trended west.

Zeus
Hi guys I saw the 12z GFS and figured I'd drop in to hand out cyanide capsules for later this evening. Jerry; I'm not caught up on the Euro... what's its deal?

Clinch Leatherwood
It closes off H5 quicker which means better WAA and ATL inflow. You and Phil have had good thoughts with this. Hopefully the rest of guidance falls into place...if it does...then I was too poo poo. We'll see. Eh, the caution flags are warranted. I freaked pre-GFS run as always. I'm like you, hard to believe the RGEM/NAM can be this bad although the NAM is having some hints. I wonder if the RGEM was changed this week as well and not just the GGEM? Anyway, we will need to monitor closely to make sure this isn't feedback related. Seems implausible, and does seem to me like the meso's are probably choking for the reasons Tip mentioned in terms of common sense...lows probably not going to try to form hundreds of miles east of the best baroclinic zone. Watching scud race SW off the ocean already. Winds picking up. This is going to be pretty nasty.

weathafella
Hi guys I saw the 12z GFS and figured I'd drop in to hand out cyanide capsules for later this evening. Jerry; I'm not caught up on the Euro... what's its deal? Kind of Ike 4-6/8 for us. 0.5 qpf to BOS. More similar to gfs than othe rguidance but obviously not so insane. Gfs/euro now the most bullish. Strange bedfellows.
Ginx snewx
Been watching this since I woke up this morning. This area has been expanding NW and cloud tops have been rapidly cooling, further west than progged. i think the GFS has picked up on this and is further west. My guess is the Euro comes west stronger earlier too. It sure is a classic bomb setup no matter.
