Rich FYI, with regard to the weather satellite issue cited in the article, a new GAO report discusses that issue on pp.155-160: http://www.gao.gov/assets/660/652133.pdf

Long story, but one of our forecasters who worked srn region long ago, said if Proenza ever retired or left during his career, he's buying pies for the office. F-yeah!! Jebman
All I can say is that the people living down south had better be well taken care of from now on. I have relatives in Texas. Some of them live on the coast. No more failures like Katrina! I dont give a rats ass how much it costs. I dont care if it costs 900 billion dollars. Get it approved and protect the people on the south and east coasts! No excuses!

Please don't ever say that name again. And God forbid don't ever say it three times in a row. A history of what, btw?
Ozarkwx
Sounds like there have been some real lulu directors - I mean how bad is it when regional employees are publicly spitting on the (employment) grave of the director. I can only conclude the ex-director has burned so many bridges that he left without any real support/empathy from the people he managed. Makes me wonder the degree to which the behind the scenes bickering directly or indirectly impacted the quality of the work being done (surely it can't help).
