RUNNAWAYICEBERG
Low forming inland? it was always supposed to...its the northern shortwave diving on the backside of the trough that will give upstate SC and SW NC a coating to a few inches. everyone is on edge down here, just seeing flakes is a hug deal. unfortunately for you guys, it kicks E towards the coast before it makes its N turn. mikemurph44
Low forming inland? There is strong diffluence aloft over that area which is developing that surface low/convergence beneath it. It's the result of the northern sw coming in. Real strong uvv lifting is going on in that region right now which explains the convective thundersnow. I still think 4 to 10 inches looks good from Islip east to Montauk....and a blizzard warning will probably be needed for the Twin Forks.

Misplaced sarcasm aside, some folks here on LI are hoping for some measurable snow. I saw the latest NAM. Anybody know what the other models are currently showing?
