Perhaps our methods of assessment differ somewhat. Beyond that I do not feel the need to explain myself to you.

Perhaps because you've got no substance behind your various "stay positive" statements?

I don't have much technical meteorology context, but I know that what you and that dsnowman guy are peddling is crapola.

Snowing nicely per the traffic cam in Monterey County.  I have no idea the elevation of that camera though.

Somewhere around 3400 foot, Monterey sits at 2900-3000. Rt 250 when it crosses the state line a little further west is + - 4400 foot.

You were talking about the camera on RT 250 west of Monterey in HIGHLAND county, right?

Low still looks like it want to wrap up quickly and without the clockwise influence of a suppressive high there is still a chance. Lows do move to our south but they really don't move south. They move east-ene and out to sea albeit to our south.  At times they do this due to the exertions of high pressure pressing down upon the low.  This has been my experince in over 40 years of detailed observations. If you have a different opinion about this then perhaps share it in a manner that does not warrant being in off topic/political.

43 and rain....perfect winter ob

Warm layer is shallow. They scour easier than cold layers because they can lift themselves. Kinda like a hot air balloon.

Went from 54 to 45 here in Timonium in the last hour. Maybe I'll get glopped to death when drive to rockville later tonight.
