so euro fail because in your small town in NJ it was wrong...what about other 97% of the area?

the euro spanked the gfs and nam on this event as it usually does...

The Euro usually spanks the gfs and nam.

This time it was way off early and isn't doing all that well now.

Looks like shades of last Friday night around Wading River.  Too bad it won't last long.

Southern RI and the south coast could be in for a bit of an unexpected treat.

Snowing nicely in Port Jefferson since about 11:15 PM.

Looks like from OKX up the William Floyd and over towrds Baiting Hollow might get to 2".  The main other area with some accumulation is the south fork.

Most everyon else is going to be in the coating to an inch category, mainly closer to a coating.

This was an interesting little system.  Not good for much, but it was interesting.

EDIT: I could see an isolated 3" spot somewhere between OKX and roughly Baiting Hollow.  I doubt that is enough to verify the WWA though.  Right idea, very close; it just didn't quite happen.  SNow has gotten very light here again, but I think we see one more decent burst with another coating before its ends.  I'll be asleep by then.

It did here for a bit too.  Did you even make it to a half inch?

Went out a minute ago per your request and measured 1.0" new snow...like I said...it came down very hard after 11 PM. Is slackening now.

Just a coating to maybe half an inch or so.  Roads are all just wet.  Meh.  Was nice to see the snow coming down moderate to heavy with big flakes for a short period of time but other than that it was a pretty lame event.  I should've known not to trust the NAM.  The Euro was better in the short range but beyond that it did a poor job too.

3.25" In Westerly RI...  Still snowing lightly but the back edge is rapidly approaching from the NW.
