ace0927
dude euro had no precip a few days ago on nj. gfs and nam did so euro fail because in your small town in NJ it was wrong...what about other 97% of the area? the euro spanked the gfs and nam on this event as it usually does... winterwx21
Light snow big flakes. Maybe 1/2". Cant see here getting much more. A half inch? Shows that just a few miles can make a big difference. I didn't even get a dusting on this side of Piscataway. Had some light to moderate snow, but it didn't stick at all. Lousy event. mikemurph44
The event is rapidly ending and breaking up on radar west to east. The back edge is quickly advancing into ne nj and se ny and breaking up as it does so

The Euro usually spanks the gfs and nam. This time it was way off early and isn't doing all that well now.

NorthShoreWx
The band over central Suffolk County extending into the sound is for real. It doesn't look like it will last very long at my location, but at least we got our dusting. This could still work out ok just a hair east of me. Assuming you have an undemanding definition of "ok". The sound is getting pounded.
patrick05
Looks like moderate snow here, really nice sized fluffy snow...!
NorthShoreWx
Looks like shades of last Friday night around Wading River. Too bad it won't last long. Southern RI and the south coast could be in for a bit of an unexpected treat.

NorthShoreWx
Looks like from OKX up the William Floyd and over towrds Baiting Hollow might get to 2". The main other area with some accumulation is the south fork. Most everyon else is going to be in the coating to an inch category, mainly closer to a coating. This was an interesting little system. Not good for much, but it was interesting. EDIT: I could see an isolated 3" spot somewhere between OKX and roughly Baiting Hollow. I doubt that is enough to verify the WWA though. Right idea, very close; it just didn't quite happen. SNow has gotten very light here again, but I think we see one more decent burst with another coating before its ends. I'll be asleep by then. mikemurph44
Snow is over in my area, coating on the sidewalks, and on the snowpack, roads are black.
RutgersWx92
Just a coating to maybe half an inch or so. Roads are all just wet. Meh. Was nice to see the snow coming down moderate to heavy with big flakes for a short period of time but other than that it was a pretty lame event. I should've known not to trust the NAM. The Euro was better in the short range but beyond that it did a poor job too.
