MI obs pretty fun to follow. Blizzard Warnings in the U.P...WSW in Bo's hood...MKG and parts of sw lower getting raked. Pretty nice storm.

Another nice burst of snow here right now, waxes and wanes...but definitely more wintry feel today versus yesterday. :)

Best State east of the Rockies for winter fun.

All of VT and NH average more than twice the snowfall of much of lower MI including the area people actually live.  NH also has Mt. Washington which owns any hyper local lake belt in MI.  This is an open and shut case.  Michigan is at best 5th in the East. And 5th in the east in snow is about as impressive as 5th in the east in the NBA.

The Upper Peninsula of Michigan hosts the snowiest places in the United States east of the Rocky Mountains (aside from the summit of Mt. Washington) thanks to persistent snow squalls blowing off Lake Superior and unloading their precipitation over the hills of the Keweenaw Peninsula and the Huron Mountains west of Marquette. A dot on the map in this area named Herman takes top honors with an average of 236” of snow each winter season (Mt. Washington averages 310”).

Those snowfall regions are limited to higher elevations spots and those states themselves are like 1/10th the size of Michigan. We have FLAT farm fields in the UP with 3-4 feet sitting in them!

Circa 22,000 B.C. maybe

Dude you are 20 years old, have you even left SE Michigan? The UP is the size of NH, VT combined.

Percent of Michigan that gets >150" is like 25 percent absolute max. Probably lower. Which is not "much" of Michigan. Ya know, by the definition of the word. But hey, I'm only twenty so I guess I was in elementary school more recently than you... Where I learned how to form coherent logical statements and such
