Looks like it's very close....heavier radar returns are sleet?

FWIR, the yellows and oranges are non-homogenous hydrometeors... in other words, mixed precip.  Snow melting into rain, usually.  In this case the solid purple is snow.

Absolutely roaring down here, I don't think I've ever seen flakes this big. Roads already getting covered, closing in on 1/2 inch already.

These bands are insane, man.

I was at Richland's firehouse doing an ice rescue class, one minute there was nothing, next minute everything was covered, crazy. 54 is completely covered just about.

radar continues to blossom down your way. looks intense...

Oh yea, these returns down here are definitely not mixed precip, it's heavy snow.

Still coming down moderately here. It is now accumulating on sidewalks and on my (very low traffic) street. I haven't measured but it looks like a solid 1"+ on the grass.

EDIT: Is this just wishful thinking or does that heavier stuff toward the Jersey Shore look like it is fixing to start rotating back our way?

Same situation about 1/4-1/2 miles away from you, my street is now snow covered in some parts. An inch or so.
