SnowGoose69
The radar is actually much better than most of the models predicted. The 21Z HRRR pretty much shows the 00Z radar correctly but look at what happens by 02Z...coastal forms and everything over land more or less vanishes... 00Z 02Z... PB GFI
35 in colts neck. Snow just started. Radar looks like rain but it's snow. Once the Best lifting heads east look to see snow enhance into central new jersey tonite. Looks like a good job by the NAM somewhat picking up on a more robust qpf field. jm1220
Radar looks impressive right now and hopefully doesn't diminish as it gets here, although at some point it probably will as the offshore low takes over.
mweisenfeld
Most radar seems to miss the rain/snow line based on these reports. In fact, the only radar I see it on is the nexrad.

nzucker
Euro **** the bed. Looks like some pretty heavy bands orienting SW-NE in New Jersey. Could be a good storm for many.
Sock Puppet
Apparantly Steve D thinks 3"-6" for LI. Hoping he's right but thinking I would be lucky to get an inch.
jm1220
Looks like some pretty heavy bands orienting SW-NE in New Jersey. Could be a good storm for many. We'll have to see if the stuff inland over NJ and E PA weakens and consolidates toward the coastal storm. But it does seem like hopefully a nice period of snow for a while. The VV's at the mid levels really look to strengthen later, so southernmost New England might get a very nice band for a time. That's the longitude advantage in action.
