eyewall
Yeah me too, I really thought we would see 1-2" on the ground. Keep thinking RAH is going to update shortly to cancel the WWA. They will probably leave it up for black ice.
WidreMann
They will probably leave it up for black ice. The black ice never happens. We won't drop below 32 tonight.

Freeze
Moderate snow is back here. Same rates that gave us the two inches earlier. Unbelievable Hey Ville, what part of Statesville are you in? The radar returns don't show a whole lot up in Statesville so I'm interested in your observations, as I'm getting your weather about 30 minutes after you do. I'm down In Mooresville and after no snow for the last 25 minutes, I'm starting to get a return to light snowfall at the moment.

WeatherNC
You suck! But then again, you always suck when there is a coastal...we almost always get the screw job here...925 mb minimum sitting right over my head...FAIL Thanks Latest rap run for the SE domain shows a break after this band moves east, around 7pm, followed by a second slug on the backside between 9 and midnight, seem to have a pretty good handle on things at initialization so I am inclined to believe it. mackerel_sky
Wow ! My first convective/squall experience! It was sunny, but you could see the dark clouds coming from the North, looked just like a summertime thunderstorm rolling in.then all heck broke loose! Small flakes at first ,then within minutes heavy snow and snow pellets.the snow pellets were up to pea-size.after that heavy snow for atleast an hour ,with "white locusts" floating down:).picked up about 1 inch on grassy areas and cars. Finally looks like winter. In my opinion, the GFS was dead on with this the last day or two

RUNNAWAYICEBERG
snow picked up in the last half hour, covering grassy surfaces. nice! unfortunately, the band isnt pivoting/rotating around the area...instead its just pushing through like a front so looks like it wont last too long. packbacker
Latest RAP has intensified the band through the Triangle starting around 8pm, prior to this run it was weakening this band. Freeze
West of 77! And it just stopped snowing once again.
