HKY18
Nice light fluffy snow coming down here. There was a heavy band that moved through the southern parts of caldwell county. Maybe you'll get in on that

VeronicaCorningstone
Moderate rain in Wilson, not sure of temp. Been coming down steadily for the past 20 minutes or so. Hopefully the changeover is coming quickly.

calculus1
I just got added to the WWA from GSP. And, right on cue, the snow begins falling a little more consistently. It's beautiful.

Brick Tamland
we have transitioned to just flurries now as that initial band collapses/moves east. Hopefully radar will fill back in with more bands...which the 12Z NAM seemed to indicate. I'm right at an inch on grass. It sounded like heavier snow was supposed to come back later this afternoon. Yeah, and based on the radar most of catawba county is gonna get hit by one of those bands, either the one in burke or caldwell county. The darker blue returns on NWS radar is borderline hvy snow, the green is defnitely +SN

ncwinterwxman
Never seen such an intense, thin band of moderate to heavy snow on radar just east of Raleigh...it's quite long in length but very narrow in width...very interesting... http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?product=N0R&rid=rax&loop=yes

CoolBreeze
If my amateur eyes are reading the latest RAP run (16z map) correctly, the lee-side trough will be forming in the Foothills around 2-4 pm. It won't be moving through the Triad until about 5-6 pm. IIRC, that is a little slower than expected this morning, which is assume is a good thing. Gives everyone to the east more time to cool down... Looks to be quite a good line too, stretching from upstate SC, through NC, and even into SW VA !!!
