magpiemaniac
36 degrees and still snowing in GSO. Rates and size are down from earlier this morning. Too warm for accumulation.
JQPublic
Sticking to the roads here now. Unbelievable. Was not expecting this at all. You wouldn't believe the difference here in West Cary. Nothing sticking and tiny flakes coming down.

Jet Stream Rider
Coming down heavy now in Carrboro. If this doesn't accumulate nothing will. Yep. I've got some light accumulation on grassy areas and cars etc. Don't really expect anything on the roads unless it comes down much harder and/or gets below freezing at the surface. WidreMann
It's snowing lightly, despite the radar promising more. There's probably some rain mixed in. All of the snow from before is gone. It's nearing noon. Unlikely to see more than another dusting at some point this afternoon before everything moves east. Gotta love the Durham snow hole. Heavy, beautiful snow now, sticking on the grass and bushes. Don't know where we are with the development of SLP, like you asked earlier, though. But this is nice to see. Best snow I've seen in over 2 years!

I suspect there will be a bit more and you get at least a dusting. Could be quite a bit more if we get some development later as some models have indicated. CaryWx
Any chance when this low starts to form off the coast we get lots of throw back in the Triangle?
CaryWx
Typically don't get the snow on the front end this far east, That's reserved for the Mts and foothills area. When this low forms and starts to spin up, could be some real fun. Hate to see it move out so quickly, which I'm afraid is going to happen rather rapidly. Nice to have it in the daytime. Really unexpected so early in the day. I ws out hiking late in the day yesterday and it was warm and beautiful. Not even a hint to the west of cloud cover. Interesting at least. And still some potential for later.

WidreMann
Another hole is developing and headed towards the western Triangle. I give up. It just won't snow any appreciable amount for any appreciable period of time.
Jet Stream Rider
Any chance when this low starts to form off the coast we get lots of throw back in the Triangle? Well that's the big question. Certainly a chance. Pressure has been falling off the GA/SC/NC coast, but not much. It would be better to see it fall though south GA and FLA and continue off shore. Cold Rain
Any chance when this low starts to form off the coast we get lots of throw back in the Triangle? That's a good question.... That's the one downside to having one threads for the storm evolution and for obs....it's hard to have a continuous dialogue about what might or might not happen. But it's ok. At least it's snowing! It might as well not be snowing. It lasts for 15 minutes tops and barely accumulates, if at all. It's otherwise just a chilly rainy day.
