Jalba
Traveling west on I40 I've got flurries falling right near the Morganton 105 exit. I think it's due to that new line developing over us. Nothing too heavy though.

Shawn
Some of you guys talking about bust so far etc must not be paying attention to any 500mb map. This is the garbage rain we knew it would mainly be before the main deal...

NCSNOW
Appetizer over and not a single flake stuck. As NC Snow mentioned earlier, simply not enough in the way of precip rates to overcome 2m temps. Love to see the snow but this one is likely a no-go for accums here in the triad. Looks to me like the triangle and east will net the higher qpfs but probably nothing to show for it either. This was oh so close! Yep. I had as heavy burst you could ask for for about15-20 minutes and it just slushed up. Then it come to a dead stop here for the past half hour. Snowing picking back up again, but our event as modeled is underway and you need heavy rates for an extended period of time (hours) if ur gonna have any chance of seeing the ground turm white. Hence the northern coastal plain who will be getting decent rates after 0z tonight.

Shawn
Dropping down to 37 already. This heavy precip band seems to have saved mby immensely for later. Other areas around me are in the 40s still.

shaggy
Looks like I have a little bit more to learn! I guess I'm just being pessimistic about temperatures and when the rain will transition to snow. We are gonna have to doeal with the rain at the onset but once the temps crash here in the east we will have better qpf so we will see our 1-3 inches here. Just have to be patient and let it play out now.
