wxmeddler
Rates killing us up here. It's quite literally less than 100ft from snowing and we've had RASN for the past 25 min.

winterymix
Some posts here of moderate and heavy snow are erroneous. Visibilities with snow intensity: visibility is over 1 kilometre (0.62 mi)[greater than 5/8 mile] -------------------------------------------------------->Light snow visibility restrictions between .5 kilometres (0.31 mi) and 1 kilometre (0.62 mi)[or 5/16 to 5/8 miles] -----> Moderate snow visibility is restricted below .5 kilometres (0.31 mi)[or 1/4 mile and less].----------------------------------------->Heavy snowfall
Bob Chill
Seems like it's mostly going as planned. Temps might be a small smidge cooler than modeled. I think one perception problem is most of the heavy analysis of levels etc comes from people who live near the cities or southeast. I hate DC. Getting snow at the end would just be a taunt. Mostly as planned with the exception of the last 12 hours or so. Lotsa light precip drizzle talk after 6-12z runs. Ull's always have some dynamics at work even when they're jv status. 87storms
I should say not accumulating "in gburg"...back to a more steady snow here. Wish it was a little colder but better than nothing.

ravensrule
light snow because the radar returns are light Ok thanks, I doubt people ever go by those guidelines. They just go by what they see and perceive as light, moderate or heavy. Using those guidelines 90% of OBS posts are probably wrong every storm.
