Some posts here of moderate and heavy snow are erroneous.

Visibilities with snow intensity:

visibility is over 1 kilometre (0.62 mi)[greater than 5/8 mile] -------------------------------------------------------->Light snow

visibility restrictions between .5 kilometres (0.31 mi) and 1 kilometre (0.62 mi)[or 5/16 to 5/8 miles] -----> Moderate snow

visibility is restricted below .5 kilometres (0.31 mi)[or 1/4 mile and less].----------------------------------------->Heavy snowfall

Seems like it's mostly going as planned. Temps might be a small smidge cooler than modeled. I think one perception problem is most of the heavy analysis of levels etc comes from people who live near the cities or southeast.

I hate DC. Getting snow at the end would just be a taunt.

Mostly as planned with the exception of the last 12 hours or so. Lotsa light precip drizzle talk after 6-12z runs. Ull's always have some dynamics at work even when they're jv status.

It's dark out side and I do not have street lights so I can't see 5 feet ahead of me, what is that called?.

Well, my title was in jest.. fwiw. I couldn't keep caring after yesterday. Snow is an IMBY business. Still sucks to waste a good vort.. ended up a bit too north and stretched out.

12z bumped precip into PA but 0z and prior runs had nothing that far north. Euro fail.
