truth is probably somewhere in between our two stands, but I am just in the mood for a fight.

Maybe it's the way we look at things. The euro had zero precip anywhere near us for days. We all know the nam/gfs can be wet but the gfs nailed the track of the vort pass before the euro even knew there was a vort pass.

Euro trended for sure but it took a while and even when it got there it missed the precip associated with the ull The fact that it's raining and sleeting and snowing from winchester to north of the mason dixon right now as we speak is a virtual euro bust.

This is the rap from an hour ago. Prob wet on the eastern shore but the rest looks pretty fair. The euro never once looked close to that and this doesn't even show what's already fallen further south and west.

mPing reports for the past 2 hours

Small plug for the tool.  Download NOAA/NSSL's mPING to your mobile device and use it.  If you want to play a very real part in modelling and remote sensing research, this is your chance.  The data collected is especially useful for marginal events.

Sorry to the admins for the off-topic post...

37.6 and rain still. Only a couple degrees to go....

I'm surprised at all the early snow obs considering the soundings

rain and pingers here with plenty of precip to the west and slp developing off the coast

we might get a little pleasant surprise.....or we might not

whatever; at least I don't have a Facebook reputation to worry about like JI   :pepsi:
