Jonger
I am writing it down and locking it in. We will have winter through march this year. The Jonger guarantee "Into March" isn't the same as "through March".
Jonger
NW Lower is a prime example of this. I'm looking forward to Spring/Summer to hopefully find a seasonal part-time job. Finally a poster with reading comprehension.

SpartyOn
I never understand why people who live in a big city complain about weather.... ever. Try finding a job in a location that gets 150 inches a year.... not happening. What?Thats the worst argument ever...why even post that dude? Powerball
Finally a poster with reading comprehension. So because we live in a big city and don't see 150" per year, we can't complain about the weather?
wisconsinwx
Im not a religious a long range follower as some of you all...but I cannot remember when ive seen the gfs and ensembles so insistent on two big storms in the longrange. Thats gotta be worth something! It's happened before this year, they usually pan out into something decent, I've remembered following a few storms on the GFS Ensembles from about the 300-324 hour mark all the way into impacting the Midwest. Jonger
Complaining about dreary weather in a location that typically gets dreary weather makes no sense... You don't have to stay there, plenty of job opportunities in cities that won't have that problem. Now, try wanting more winter and try finding a spot with job opportunities... No chance. The vast majority of cities receive no snow or sub 40 inches.

Chicago WX
How are you liking our chances with some of these 160-240 hr threats? Looks good right now, but we know how that can go. Whether it's frozen or liquid is very much TBD of course. Seems the Euro ensembles still like a northern track.

wisconsinwx
I hate when you go to bed with ggem/nogaps/ncep visions of snowstorms dancing in your head only to wake up to a bucket of cold water thrown at you by the laughing euro. I suspect the hr 168 threat gets squashed and the 192 hr threat cuts far west....or vice vesa...we'll see. JB actually calling for a MORCH. The only time he nails longrange is when he is calling for warmth, so there might be something to this. I hope he's right. He is clearly trying reverse psychology. It would be kind of funny if even that bit him in the butt.
frostfern
Well the euro is on board with the GFS system 1 on Tuesday next week. It's going to be pretty hard for the models to find a way to take that system away from our region completely. The only complaints will be with regard to whose backyard gets fringed or slapped with rain and/or mixed precip.

snowstormcanuck
The phantom weekend bomb blowing up over the NW Atlantic is going to create a bit of a block out ahead of the storm next week. It should be pretty efficient at preventing too much cutting.
