Logan11
The B team event for Friday night/Saturday is getting jucier on the NAM. Nice stripe of .5 from Upstate NY northeast to Powderfreak. Of course this is the 48-72 hour NAM so who knows.....

wx2fish
Toss. GFS is actually a little more interesting this run for Sat PM. Congrats Maine.
MJO812
Rgem also amplifies the first wave just like the Nam and GFShttp://collaboration.cmc.ec.gc.ca/cmc/cmdn/pcpn_type/pcpn_type_gem_reg.html
weatherMA
JB lolz Why one does not "give up" simply because of models. Latest GFS (l) and NAM ® both have fri nite-Sat snow swaths

CTWeatherFan
Per GFS, I might get some decent snows on Cape Cod this weekend. Gonna be in Brewster. Of course, that's if it's right.
TheSnowman
Goodness the GFS throws Noreaster after Noreaster after Noreaster after Noreaster at us. I feel like I'm in Detention and the teacher told me to write Noreaster after on the chalk board 100 times.

Max
NOGAPS is a bomb and much closer to the coast than the GFS or EURO. Do we apply the NOGAPS rule for this one?
Clinch Leatherwood
I think you need to refresh your browser...GEM has pretty much nothing. I didn't even notice the 971 was in the middle of doing something else...was comparing last nights to tonights typed the MSLP from the wrong panel..1005mb little low, nothing much for you, does okay for coastal areas like the GFS. Oh you are talking about the 72h thing....yeah that gives like 0.15" back to here and 0.40" for coastal areas (mostly CC) in marginal boundary layer conditions. Yeah that is there, but nothing of note.
N. OF PIKE
NOGAPS is a bomb and much closer to the coast than the GFS or EURO. Do we apply the NOGAPS rule for this one? ya i mean if nogaps has that at noon tommorrow i'll be more interested, heck euro would pick up on it prollly , tonite if its legit. i would streak naked thru town if the 12z nogaps is NW of the 0z run tonite, not gonna happen imo. as is nogaps is a scraper and advisory for good chunk of sne, then just misses on bombing down east maine. Typhoon Tip
I'm a little suspicious - ever since the blizzard, the ECMWF freebies have been delaying their usual dissemination time of 1am. Since that org is profit based, I wonder if they are trying to leverage their success in modeling that event. Funny if so ... someone should notify them they f up for over a month's worth of systems before for what ever reason they managed to hit that one. It's probably nothing but their timing seems too coincidental; now that "weather awareness" is heightened, they ding us with delayed times? Maybe if we subscribe

dendrite
Nice, anything up here?6z GFS is nice. EC op is a quick hitting 0.25"+. Probably closer to 0.35". EC ens mean is a little more north, but still has 0.25"+ over us. Would be a nice refresher.
moneypitmike
Will be in Jackson Friday-Sunday. Might be nice time to be visiting. Quite possibly miss a few inches back here at the Pit. I think the backside winds might be more impressive than the snow totals at this point--at least for most of the area.

moneypitmike
WCVB Boston had their in house RPM giving 7-8" here JC thought it was overdone Why would media outlets even bring things up at this point in time? From a public informaiton standpoint, that's as wrong as it is to broadcast other news knowing you don't have all the facts. Even if you caveat it, you've put it out there and it gets passed along as 'fact'. Just wrong to do. Disservice to the community, disservice to the already crappy view of the media. Okay---I'll take a breath and relax. Whatever we get will be a welcome shift from the melting that's been taking place over the past several days.
