free_man
there has been a spread in gfs ensembles, for several runs. Some have shown a decent solution on and off. It's nice to see the gfs op suppressed so that a good sign. 0z NOGAPS and Ukie look interesting.

powderfreak
Man, finally... that is just a parade of energy moving across the southern tier of the U.S. The dry/boring pattern seems to be reversing... it was hard to say if the HECS was just a one shot and done deal, but all the sudden there's one to track like every 3 days going forward. MaineJayhawk
LOL indeed. From the "Thank-you Sir, may I have another" file. What sayeth The King? It's too far out for the NAM. Ok, but seriously ... Euro does not buy what GFS sells.
mahk_webstah
What seems clear is that a trough will move towards and over New England and a surface low will form somewhere but models have different evolution. This morning's HPC has a primary in eastern nye with a secondary forming off Jersey and then a 996 low just off the ME coast on Sunday morning. GYX is vague, calling for a chance of snow showers. BOX is leaning HPC/Euro with some sort of storm off the coast.
PWMan
It's too far out for the NAM. Ok, but seriously ... Euro does not buy what GFS sells. Thanks. Still time to change its mind.Epic storm or no, it would be nice to cover up those unsightly wind-blown bare patches. Sledding with the kids yesterday was surprisingly hit-or-miss considering that we just had a record snowfall (always something to complain about!). HoarfrostHubb
Whenever you see a big storm look this good at this range on gfs it makes me think flooding rainstorm will be the reality lol. Pretty sweet depiction though. Yup...a concern to be sure. But at this range...
