ya messenger it wasn't much, i mean just a quick burst of S+ prob S++ for a strip down near S ri coast.  lasted hour to two tops.

look at the cam in middleton, the one 138@214  .....they got a solid cpl inches down quick on the road ( i would guestimate)

edit....ugh that cam's down now....must be too much activity lol

Really intense snows here check out the radar. Roads covered too. Took only a couple of minutes. It's just ripping.

I just picked up a surprise couple wet inches here in Newport.  I looked out the window at around one and couldn't believe how hard it was snowing out. I had given up on this event and it proved to be one of those rare events in Newport that delivers even though it's only a modest couple inches...but down here any time I can see a burst of moderate snow I'll certainly take it.

Epic snows.  I'm shocked at the accumulation rates.

harvey leonard fan , i was actually thinking of you and another poster in S coastal RI.  looks like you got a solid 2+ inches in a narrow stripe....and judging by radar messenger will get his 2 as well.

awesome.

now off to sleep, and on to saturday's event.

Appears to be about 3" per hour snows.  Got up to take a wiz I think at 125 and it wasn't snowing.  207am and there's just about 2" of wet snow.

I noticed the NWS at 1:15 AM reduced all of the area getting hammered now like near PYM and EWB to a 50% chance of snow. Whoops.

Yeah, big whoops.  Trees starting to bend again under the weight already.  Luckily it'll end before we get back into power issues again taking out the weak limbs.  No wind to speak of maybe 5mph.

For the record while we were patting the Euro on the back as it dumped in southern RI...here's what it had from the 0z run.  12 hours ago it gave me zip.  The 3 hour panel after this one had me in the .01 to .05.  I kept the 18z NAM snapshot from earlier.  Ended up with that dual band setup, not perfect and the 0z although better than the Euro kind of missed this whole little thing too.

4" is the final tally.  Winding down now.  2nd only to the blizzard.

Death band FTW, Euro FTL

Taken from both ends of the yard, 5 different surfaces.  This is 5 out of maybe 20 photos, most were taken about 15 minutes before the steadier snow ended. Ranged in general from 3.9 to about 4.2, excluding the 4.2 as the ridges in the fluff piles. Measuring from 36 to 32, I broke the yard stick when I went out and grabbed it out of the snowbank at 130 this morning.

Just took another core, will let it melt overnight
