Clinch Leatherwood
Euro ticked NW again tonight. Looks like it finally puts the .1+ over part of the cape overnight. Better late than never. Still probably better than shoving .25 well into MA erroneously. Rgem/ggem seemed okay here again.

HarveyLeonardFan
I just picked up a surprise couple wet inches here in Newport. I looked out the window at around one and couldn't believe how hard it was snowing out. I had given up on this event and it proved to be one of those rare events in Newport that delivers even though it's only a modest couple inches...but down here any time I can see a burst of moderate snow I'll certainly take it. Cheeznado
I noticed the NWS at 1:15 AM reduced all of the area getting hammered now like near PYM and EWB to a 50% chance of snow. Whoops.

Whoops. Yeah, big whoops. Trees starting to bend again under the weight already. Luckily it'll end before we get back into power issues again taking out the weak limbs. No wind to speak of maybe 5mph. For the record while we were patting the Euro on the back as it dumped in southern RI...here's what it had from the 0z run. 12 hours ago it gave me zip. The 3 hour panel after this one had me in the .01 to .05. I kept the 18z NAM snapshot from earlier. Ended up with that dual band setup, not perfect and the 0z although better than the Euro kind of missed this whole little thing too.

Clinch Leatherwood
Still moderate to heavy here. I've managed to stay just on the fringe. One last 35dbz to maybe rotate through if it does probably squeak out 4" Trying to stay up for a measurement as it's melting, heavy wet snow. Clinch Leatherwood
Joe/Litchfield. HRRR was pretty useless. At 1z it had no clue. By 3z slight clue, by 4z getting warmer. 5z is coming out now as the snow ends Heaviest snow of the night falling in this last band.

Clinch Leatherwood
Did a core with a perfect glass on the first 3.5" of snow. .4 LE or about 8.75 to 1 ratios. I'm not doing another one. Melted the snow in a pot of warm water, I know I probably lost some to evap during the 3-4 minutes. Roads are a total mess.
Clinch Leatherwood
4" is the final tally. Winding down now. 2nd only to the blizzard. Death band FTW, Euro FTL Taken from both ends of the yard, 5 different surfaces. This is 5 out of maybe 20 photos, most were taken about 15 minutes before the steadier snow ended. Ranged in general from 3.9 to about 4.2, excluding the 4.2 as the ridges in the fluff piles. Measuring from 36 to 32, I broke the yard stick when I went out and grabbed it out of the snowbank at 130 this morning. Just took another core, will let it melt overnight
