SR Airglow
As compared to radar and ground truth. I don't think it matters...just funny it's off with that. NAM looks like it may be south of 18z. Good to know, that way we can toss if we dont like it (Disclaimer: not tossing anything yet) -skisheep

Mr Torchey
potent ss s/w must be respected, once again middies look great, expect a nice band of snow on the nw side. Question is, how far north. 2-4 3-6 stay the course.
Mr Torchey
Like I said, it may not be all acc snow. Yeah, I think its all snow here, whether the glop at the beginning accumulates is a different story, not worried about liquid out here

SR Airglow
Continues the 2-4" theme lollies to 5", at this point it's everything for 2-4" vs the EURO with flurries, inclined to toss the EURO, but can't bring my self to do it, although each run makes it a little easier. If it moves north at 0z, not even a hit, but just enough to establish the trend, than I think we see 2-4" advisory here in the morning. If it dosen't move, not sure what to beleive. -skisheep

Quincy
Interesting split...even SREF split between amped up moderate snows and almost nothing. NAM/GFS wetter than RGEM/Euro. Will see what other 00z guidance says overnight, then tomorrow it's mostly a nowcasting thing...
Mr Torchey
Nice forcing does. I can hope. If this holds we know there will be a nice band potentially a bit further north of the model qpf, could rip for a few hours. Its going to snow again, I am happy

SR Airglow
RGEM is north according to the NYC forum, can someone post and confirm? They say .25"+ for NYC, a big change from earlier when it was close to nothing. -skisheep
Clinch Leatherwood
RGEM is north according to the NYC forum, can someone post and confirm? They say .25"+ for NYC, a big change from earlier when it was close to nothing. -skisheep The NAM looks messed up to me. The RGEM looks more reasonable. A heavy band that skims along or just under the coast lighter snows to the north. We'll see But the RGEM keeps the 5mm line south of SNE aside of maybe the islands. SR Airglow
Upton upped amounts over LI, but everything else is the same. Not gotten around to the rest of it yet, or do they still only see 1.5" here? Think if this GFS coming up holds some of these other numbers that are not eastern LI go up another inch or so.
